Colgate-Palmolive offers an exciting opportunity for you to join us as Accounting and Tax Manager, Poland & Baltics who will be responsible for applying local statutory and US GAAP rules to Colgate-Palmolive’s three entities in Poland and one in Latvia in collaboration with Colgate Shared Service Center. This role requires you to run accounting and tax compliance by leading accounting & tax audits, tax planning projects and transfer pricing documentation.


Main responsibilities:


  • Preparing Statutory financials and Tax reportings
  • Preparing US GAAP - Local GAAP reconciliations and calculating resulting deferred tax assets and liabilities
  • Supervising 3 rd party compositions of statutory financials and tax returns
  • Leading accounting yearly audit
  • Delivering Corporate reporting for accounting and tax (FTCQ, Tax books, 10K…)
  • Managing team members involved in accounting and tax matters (1 direct report and a lot of interaction with Shared Service Center teams)
  • Helping to identify opportunities for reducing income taxes and effective tax rates
  • Due diligence of any mergers, acquisitions and divestments or restructuring
  • Monitoring and recommendation of (retroactive and proactive) transfer pricing adjustments.
  • Ownership of tax audits, tax inquiries, litigation support to the Finance Directors of Poland
  • Supporting the Regional Tax Center Of Excellence Director - Europe AED on the design and evaluation of business planning and provide advice regarding potential tax consequences.

Education and Experience required


  • University/Master degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting/Tax consulting firm, completed with an Accounting/Tax experience in a commercial company (minimum 1 year)
  • Proficiency in ERP (SAP) systems is an asset
  • Proficiency in English and Polish language
  • PC excellence and ability to learn new systems
