The Hill’s Veterinary Consultation Services (VCS) Clinician delivers high-value technical expertise, nutritional counseling, and product guidance to veterinary healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders across North America. Reporting to [Reporting Title], this role serves as a key driver for product endorsement and dietary management, elevating awareness and appropriate usage of Hill’s clinical product portfolio. By bridging customer feedback with internal innovation teams, the VCS Clinician directly shapes customer satisfaction and supports business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic clinical and nutritional consultations via phone and email, driving technical clarity and product endorsement across veterinary healthcare networks.

  • Serve as an authoritative subject matter expert on Hill’s products, supporting educational alignment with Professional Veterinary Affairs and Customer Development teams.

  • Analyze and synthesize customer feedback and product effectiveness trends to inform R&D and Marketing strategy teams.

  • Partner cross-functionally across business units on key projects and engagement initiatives to expand business reach and organizational capabilities.

  • Conduct high-impact case presentations and technical nutrition training for internal teams and external industry professionals.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree along with a current, valid, active license to practice veterinary medicine within the United States. 

  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in a veterinary environment.

  • Proficiency in technical documentation platforms and business tools, including MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.

  • Strong relationship building and teamwork skills

  • Excellent coaching and counseling skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bonus if clinical experience is recent within last 10 year 

  • Ability to work in a high volume consulting environment

  • Advanced training or certification in veterinary nutrition or internal medicine.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.

  • Strong coaching, interpersonal communication, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $96,800.00 - $121,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
