Human Resources Coordinator (Contract)

 

Primary Responsibility: 

 

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day to day HR administration of recruitment, training/development, total rewards, employee engagement, HR data management, and other duties as assigned. 

 

Specific Responsibilities: 

 

  • Recruitment – using our global recruitment management system to post roles, pull resumes, set up interviews and perform background checks using the HireRight system for all temporary requisitions. Partner with talent acquisition to onboard all permanent and temporary hires. Manage the co-op recruitment program for our global information technology team. 

 

  • Training/Development – Partner with global learning to manage employee training sessions by coordinating and organizing calendars for employees and facilitators, ordering supplies and training materials, catering, room set up and general support/assistance (once in-person training resumes). 

 

  • Total Rewards – Partner with Total Rewards lead to schedule and run flexible benefit, pension and stock savings orientations with new hires. Assist with completing annual compensation surveys and other cyclical Total Rewards tasks throughout the year.

 

  • Employee Engagement – Be an active member of both our employee engagement and DE&I committees. Manage our Canada Activity calendar for the year and assist with planning all employee engagement events. Run Live Better Canada events and manage our local P2P program.

 

  • HR Data Management – Inputting new hire and employee changes into our HRIS. Running ad hoc reporting, performing audits & ensuring system data accuracy. 

 

  • Other Duties as Assigned

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • 2-3 years of human resource experience including recruitment, training and total rewards administration
  • Post Secondary education in human resources or a related field, CHRP designation considered an asset
  • General knowledge of HR legislation 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Experience using a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) SAP would be considered an asset
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive and positive attitude
