The Customer Manager manages all aspects of Colgate's relationship with the customer. This position negotiates with the customer to achieve the company's 5P strategies for all of Colgate's brands/categories and deliver annual sales/share targets within spending parameters. A key member of the Customer Development Organization, the incumbent will help drive superior business results through relationship building, solid analytics, program evaluation, and development and delivery of business plans.

 

What you will do:

  • Work independently to develop, negotiate and implement a Customer Plan to achieve Financial and 5P
  • Objectives for all of Colgate's brands/categories, and deliver annual sales/share targets
  • Utilize efficiently available Category Management Tools (eg. Nielsen Desktop), Atlas, LDIA to understand consumption and shipment data to identify brand/category performance trends and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as the Customer Development, Marketing and Supply Chain functions to build business opportunities and ensure planning accuracy
  • Collaborate with eComm teams and maintain weekly touchpoints

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5+ years experience in a Customer Development role in the consumer products industry
  • Experience in developing strategies and plans to respond to shoppers/customer trends delivering against the commercial goals
  • Experience managing a P&L for a multi-million dollar business
  • Proficient skills in LDIA, Nielsen, Numerator and Atlas

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Category Management experience 
  • 1-3+ years experience in a Customer Manager role managing Grocery customers
  • Previous experience supporting Loblaws
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate, both internally and externally
