Job Title:  Technical Transfer Manager

The Technical Manager is responsible for assuring availability and appropriate transfer of technology to the regional manufacturing locations and Contract Manufacturers in order to deliver business goals. Focus includes but is not limited to the following areas: 

-  Lead Hill’s Technology Transfer program

-  Interface with Global Technology team

-  Ensure critical information about startup of new or changed products / processes are effectively transferred

-  Collaborate with Product Development / R&D, Implementation and Support (I&S), Regional / Global Quality, Regional / Global Supply Chain                    Management, Network Operations, Regional / Global Packaging, EOHS and procurement

-  Mentoring of the site quality engineers

  • Assure availability and appropriate transfer of technology to the regional manufacturing locations and Contract Manufacturers to deliver business goals. 
  • Follow closely the Technology Transfer SOP to ensure all steps are complete which includes Tech Readiness Reviews, Launch Readiness and scale up EMO's, updates to process/packaging/material changes, SOP's & specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in regional facilities with a focus on process, finishing, & supplier capabilities.
  • Ensure process, equipment, and operational specifications are consistent with, and align with Quality and EOHS Standards & Global Regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment support manufacturing of new product bundles to targeted cost and commercial expectations and works to identify ongoing margin improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure that product development addresses standardization and simplification for materials, formulas, manufacturing processes and packaging.
  • Participate in Category Product Supply Chain meetings, Marketing meetings and grid reviews to address technical aspects and implications of new product launches and FTG projects.

Basic requirements include:


-  Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or other related field

-  8+ years of manufacturing experience on a Food or drug/ cGMP environment 

-  2+ years of proven project management experience

-  2+ years of supervisor experience

Preferred qualifications:

-  Masters of Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or other related field 

-  3+ years in Quality related field

-  2+ years of experience in Network Operations / Commercialization role

Eexpected areas of skills:

-  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

-  Clear and effective communication

-  Solid understanding of technical process of manufacturing / project management

-  Demonstrates the ability to inspire change within organization

-  Ability to develop relationships across multiple functional areas
