The Services Procurement Specialist, Marketing is responsible for driving sourcing activities, contracting, and risk mitigation activities that support internal partners while delivering efficiencies and optimization in the Marketing Category. The position is responsible for promoting the utilization of procurement methodology through brand, category management, and strategic sourcing activities. Primary responsibilities include supporting partners in the areas of Social, Digital, CRM, Print, Premiums, and Coupons for Hill's Pet Nutrition, NA. The Services Procurement Specialist will ensure that a sound sourcing process is implemented in compliance with the Global Procurement guidelines while practicing the FEED principles.

 

 

 

What you will do


•    Develop Hill’s NA sourcing category management long-term strategy in alignment with Services Procurement global category leaders.


•    Lead Hill’s NA implementation of global marketing category initiatives/projects.


•    Drive Innovation, Diversity Spend, Value and Cost Reduction initiatives for the category


•    Manage the relationship with Hill’s NA Marketing vendors, while leading the implementation of the identified SRM program initiatives.


•    Develop, analyze and act based on Procurement key performance indicators for the category


•    Identify potential sourcing and contracting risks, and provide direction to mitigate them


•    Acquire periodic category market intelligence insights, and perform benchmarking with external companies.


•    Participate in Industry events to stay currently related to standard methodologies, and bring new insights to the organization.


•    Manage ethical and professional relationships with vendors.


•    Leads all request for information (RFI) and request for proposals (RFP) for the Marketing categories, and utilization of other procurement e-tools.


•    Performs other duties as assigned


•    Complies with all policies and standards

 

 


Required Qualifications


•    Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or similar 


•    At least 4 years of Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain or Financial experience. 


•    Strong Project Management Skills, with excellent Communication skills and the ability to Collaborate with internal/external partners. 


•    Strong Business Analytics skills. Using business tools and information systems when solving problems and making decisions. Using data to support recommendations. 


•    Strong Leadership skills, and Relationship building at all levels of the organization. 


•    Strong Negotiation skills. Planning and anticipation demonstrate Integrity in all business settings and show the ability to control emotions, mannerisms, and communication style. (1 year of experience in negotiation) 


•    Ability to work closely with the Legal team to build, negotiate and execute contracts 


•    Focus on Partnership and Collaboration. 


•    Ability to effectively work cross-functional and cross-regional within Procurement and other functions 


•    Self-starter, teammate, effective leader, and keen on working in a cross-cultural working environment. 


•    Strong verbal and written communication skills 

 

 


Preferred Qualifications


•    Master's Degree Marketing, Business, Engineering, or similar 


•    Experience using SAP, ARIBA
