To be accountable for the day-to-day operation of the Hill's Topeka Plant's Computer/Server Systems and its related software. To coordinate with the corporate IT department for rolling out of corporate initiated directives. To facilitate the deployment and removal of new computer equipment.

 

 

Note: This is a fully on-site position (Monday-Friday day shift) based in a manufacturing site.

 

 

 

What you will do

 

  • Implement plant systems projects in the area of expertise (SAP or Wonderware). Provide the technical expertise to configure, maintain and troubleshoot all plant systems at the assigned plant.

 

  • Provide mentorship and training to plant operations to champion utilization.

 

  • Enforce standards that ensure global consistency of manufacturing and integration systems.

 

  • Establish and maintain close relationships with the regional IT, SSO and ISM teams.

 

  • Work closely with plant leadership teams, engineering teams, plant operations teams and quality teams.

 

  • Actively participate in the global plant systems integrator’s network.

 

  • Aligns with all policies and standards

 

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent

 

  • 3+ years experience with computer software/hardware related equipment and networking.

 

  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

 

  • Ability to tackle and fix software and operating systems.

 

  • Willing and able to adhere to all safety and EOHS standards, and wear and use all personal protective equipment.

 

  • Provides daily assistance and support to the Plant for all plant computer hardware (includes on call coverage) including computers, servers, LAN and peripherals (mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc…).

 

  • Ability to work varying shifts and on-call for telephone, remote computer access, and in-plant support.

 

  • Experience supporting back-office and customer-facing services such as Active Directory, Domain Name System, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol servers,

 

  • Ability to configure and test plant systems

 

 


Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Proficiency in Wonderware manufacturing software such as: o Wonderware Archestra o Wonderware MES

 

  • Experience supporting SQL Server, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Windows Server Update Services.

 

  • Experience maintaining, securing, patching, and deploying operating systems including but not limited to Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019, Windows 10, VMware.

 

  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting scripts.

 

  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), preferably using Microsoft SQL Server and SQL reporting services.

 

  • Basic understanding of:  

           - Production Planning and Scheduling

           - Inventory Management

           - Planned Maintenance Concepts

           - Statistical Process Control (SPC) Concepts

           - Plant Floor Control System Concepts

           - Operational Excellence Standards and Expectations:

                ▪ Factory Performance and Reliability (FP&R)

                ▪ EOHS Standards

                ▪ Quality Standards/Regulatory Requirements

           - Plant Metrics such as throughput, Operating Efficiency (OE), unplanned downtime (UPDT).

 

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $63,600.00 - $81,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
