The Digital Product Manager for Shelter Professionals will oversee the creation, development and ongoing daily ownership of the Hill’s Professional Shelter platform. This role will lead the project management related to its creation and ongoing development, optimize the platform’s role in the digital Professional Ecosystem, lead the analytics and insights derived from the platform data, and ensure it remains connected to other necessary customer platforms in conjunction with our Shelter Engagement Team and Customer Experience Engagement team. 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Task

Create, Maintain, Enhance: 

This role will lead the oversight of the development, maintenance and enhancement of our new Shelter Professional portal/platform. This allows shelters to join our shelter network, order supplies and food, collaboratively share data and insights, and shelter professionals to become connected within our digital ecosystem. The role will focus on understanding our user’s needs and wants, and incorporating regular user feedback into future design and enhancement decisions. They’ll collaborate closely with GIT, Shelter Engagement, CXEC and other partners to maintain and develop the site and technical architecture that props up the platform. (60%)

Drive Digital Relationships:

Utilize various on and off-platform strategies and tactics to drive Shelter Professionals deeper into our digital ecosystem (incl. CRM, etc.). Elevate value and aid in finding the right Hill’s platforms as solutions to their common professional and shelter business needs (including, but not limited to, ordering, feeding their personal pets, clinical decision making, ongoing education/CE,etc.) Create opportunities for deeper data capture and understanding with each professional. (15%)


 

Insights & Analytics

Monitor and assess ongoing analysis of the platform, and report data-driven insights and opportunities to the broader organization. This will be on your own as well as in collaboration with the Insights & Analytics team/other partners. Share regular performance updates and help define best practices to further improve the platform. (15%)

Shelter Coordination & Activation

Coordinate and optimize with the Shelter Engagement team on critical shelter initiatives, messaging and needs. Explore opportunities to use the platform to more broadly support shelter initiatives, and better connect ourselves to them on a personal and digital level. Remain connected with in-person Hill’s shelter activities and personnel, utilizing our data - when possible - to enhance their personal engagement. (10%)

Education/ Experience Requirements

Basic qualifications include:  Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing or related field with 3-5 years experience. Previous digital product ownership/management experience is preferred.

 

Preferred qualifications include:  Experience with shelter and/or professional marketing/sales.
