Brand Manager, Global Marketing & Innovation is responsible for helping to identify and develop innovation and growth opportunities for the Hill’s global business. A key part of this role will be leading the development and execution of marketing strategy, plans, new products,claims and programs to achieve the Prescription Diet global business objectives, in both the short and long term. Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, this position initiates and executes projects across Hill's Therapeutic business, and works closely with the regional teams cross-functional team to identify and validate opportunities, develop strategies,and drive value for Hill’s and our pet parents.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional innovation project teams providing direction, delivering against key project milestones, communicating within the project team and presenting the project to the leadership team (25%).
  • Assists in the development and execution of brand strategies for new product launches, as well as packaging updates, reformulations and other product improvements (25%) .
  • Works with the local Science & technology team, Professional Veterinary team, Commercial teams and Consumer Insights to understand and identify products and technology and develop new, powerful and differentiating claims on PD products and technology ( 20%).
  • Works across and gains input from the regional teams to help the global strategy and innovation plans (20%) .
  • Inputs and manages marketing communication tools, claims database, trademark clearance, invoice processing, and project initiation request processes (10%).


Basic qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in Brand Management, Customer Marketing, or Trade Marketing.


Preferred qualifications include:

  • MBA.
  • Experience within the pet food industry or Pharmaceutical.
  • Innovation experience.


Expected Areas of Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals, strong project management skills, and analytical expertise with syndicated & internal data sources.
  • Ability to manage and work across a diverse, cross-functional team of professionals, including Brand Marketing, Science and Technology, Finance, Customer Development, and Supply Chain.
  • Ability to work well both individually and within the cross-functional and brand teams.
  • Very strong communication skills (verbal & written), and the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
