Job Summary

The position is to develop strategy/plan, execute, track progress, and review the retail marketing activities for offline mass channel such as home center, GMS, drug stores, pet shops, and vet clinics as well as online and omni channel environments.



Key objectives of our current/near future retail marketing in priority order are,

  • Implementation of the primary 6P strategy(Product, Price, Promotion, Placement, POP and Professional recommendation)
  • Establish Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) process not to just deliver POS and execute.
  • Establish stronger Science Diet brands in Japan as mass-premium category leader, start from developing firm and clear in-store branding guideline and penetrate it among sales teams/external agency via training and set approval process 
  • Develop shopper oriented messages in relevant format to win more at the point of purchase.


The person will be also responsible to support the annual Budget Planning/Mid-year review for Mass channel, and also for monthly / quarterly business reviews, including adjustment/optimization of marketing investment based on sales/demands forecasting.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities



  • Development of 6P strategy and customer selling story based on in depth understanding of the market, customer and shopper practices.
  • Implementation and execution management including regular tracking set-up.
  • Strengthen branding in retail environments


  • Drive/develop efficient customer solutions while managing GTN and A&P within target with strong ROI mindset.


  • Annual Budget and Mid-year review.


  • Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews.


  • Administrative work

Education/ Experience

  • BA degree.
  • 2-3 years trade/retail marketing or experience in sales is a must.
  • Experience above in FMCG industry is a big plus.



  • Basic business English is a must in both writing and speaking.
    (Accept beginner, however, be willing to reach business level within a few years is a must)
  • Experience to have deal with mass-retailers will be a plus
  • Project management experience
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
