Job Summary:

  • Manage priority Hill’s eCommerce customers and drive success of Hill’s Pet Nutrition in the rapidly evolving eCommerce marketplace environment. 
  • Deliver excellence in planning and implementation of business plans for allocated eCommerce accounts to achieve commercial goals including sales and market share targets. 


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
 

(40%)
Develops, aligns and implements strong plans to deliver commercial goals in allocated customers:

  • Deliver net sales, volume and market share targets for allocated customers across all Hill’s brands. 
  • Build our brands: ensure delivery of eCommerce Sales Fundamentals in allocated customers across all platforms (.Com & Marketplace). 
  • 6P (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement, POP and Professional) execution with high compliance. 
  • Develop, align and implement a competitive promotional grid that maximizes Hill’s market share and new customer acquisition. 
  • Collaborate with eComm marketing team and customer to develop customer marketing grid for relevant customers that maximizes awareness, consideration, trial and repeat brand goals. 
  • Lead JBP process for priority accounts; ensuring delivery of agreed actions to meet aligned sales and share targets. 
  • Conduct in depth analysis (including competitive analysis) to uncover commercial opportunities for Hill’s and plan for growth.

Deliver ‘best practice’ Customer Management for eCommerce merchants:
 

  • Effectively manage allocated trade spend (GtN) to drive greatest return on investment for Hill’s Japan. 
  • Prompt management of all account related administration (invoice management, claims approval and proof of performance). 
  • Strong forecasting and communication with Wholesale Managers to minimize OOS. 
  • Be an advocate for the customer within Hill’s, ensuring clear communication of execution opportunities and obstacles in commercial planning processes. 
  • Drives a ‘One Team’ mentality between priority customers and Hill’s; ensuring regular touch points between customer hierarchy and Hill’s eCommerce team hierarchy. 
  • Work collaboratively with Vet team to deliver Hill’s ‘One Team’ customer approach.

Work at the Speed of eCommerce:

  • Develop a sound knowledge of eCommerce environment and continuously learn to ensure thought leadership in this rapidly evolving channel. 
  • Develop and maintain networks with global EC colleagues to learn and reapply Global Best Practices in Japan. 
  • Support internal stakeholder meeting preparation with detailed customer information and presentation.

Education/ Experience:

Minimum education and experience requirements:

  • BA in economics or related topics
  • 2+ years Sales / customer development experience in FMCG or related categories
  • Budget management skills (sales and gross to net)

Preferred education and experience requirements: 

  • Cross functional communication skills
  • Writing / reading English skills (eMail)
