Position: Senior Scientific Affairs Manager - Permanent (No relocation)

Expected Gross Annual Salary Range: 136,000 - 204,000 CHF per year, determined on the basis of objective, transparent, and gender-neutral criteria.

Variable Compensation: Eligibility to participate in bonus and incentive programs linked to company and/or individual performance.

Position Summary
The Senior Scientific and Public Health Affairs Manager will drive the regional scientific and public health strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Positioned as a core strategic partner to professional engagement, this role secures visibility and accuracy of company’s scientific expertise and alignment of the strategy to societal and public health needs, ensuring that long-term business growth is anchored in scientific credibility and health prevention and promotion models.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Narrative Leadership

Lead the core scientific narrative development and technology value propositions for assigned oral care portfolios

Provide expert scientific input into product innovation and professional engagement strategies to enable long-term evidence-supported business growth.

Act as the science storyteller, translating complex product technical specification and scientific data into actionable, clinically-relevant communication towards health professionals and consumers

Work in partnership with R&D, to shape the evidence generation and scientific communication priorities

Ensure scientific accuracy, safeguard centralized scientific governance, and maintain evidence-based substantiation across all external communications.

Systematically mine, interpret, and share external scientific insight and oral health environment dynamics to feed the organization with actionable insights.
Public Health Advocacy and Partnerships

Champion regional public health initiatives, translating regional reference guidance and global prevention toolkits into actionable market activations.

Lead policy advocacy and establish strategic relationships with key public health stakeholders and professional organizations

Build and maintain high-value, top-to-top alliances with leading professional organizations, dental schools, and top-tier universities across the EMEA region.
Professional Engagement and Education

Provide vital scientific and clinical input into global and regional oral care business strategies, technology launches, and professional engagement strategies.

Secure a strong, distinct scientific presence at major pan-EMEA dental and scientific meetings and symposia.

Develop central professional education strategy and assets in assigned indication

Partner with key thought leaders (KTLs) and academia to advance the company's scientific expertise

Execute deep-dive scientific training and upskilling for regional internal commercial and professional oral care teams to ensure robust product knowledge.
Required Qualifications
-
University degree in dental medicine (DDS / BDS / DMD) or a qualified dental hygienist (DH) degree preferred.

Master's degree (MS) and/or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., dental research, oral biology, clinical research, public health, or a related discipline) preferred.

Minimum of 5–7 years of operational experience in scientific affairs, medical affairs, or a highly regulated consumer healthcare environment. Recognition and network within the oral health EMEA ecosystem are a plus.

Demonstrated experience in public health frameworks, healthcare policy, and/or navigating localized dental reimbursement landscapes.

Proven track record of translating complex science into clinical value and successfully managing key thought leader (KTL) relationships.

Strong history of working cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, legal, and research and development teams.

Highly self-driven, pro-active, and enterprising mindset, with a proven ability to take full ownership of projects and drive regional initiatives.

Naturally adept at relationship building, showing an ability to influence cross-functional networks and secure external collaborations and endorsement through clinical expertise and credibility

Brilliant communication and presentation skills, with an exceptional ability to distill complex data into clear, impactful narratives for scientific, public health, and business audiences.
