Job Purpose

As our new Professional Business Team Lead (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the full commercial/financial and management for the Pharmacy and Dental channels in alignment with the business- and strategic priorities of the company. Mainly you will plan, execute and monitor/report the activities of the Pharmacy and Dental field teams and lead the administrative back office position. Additionally you are responsible for the P&L for the Pharmacy and Dental channels.


Core Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the pharmacy / drugstore business in Switzerland:
    • Account Management for Wholesaler, Pharmacy groups and chains
    • Elaboration of the pharmaceutical conditioning system and elaboration of cooperation agreements with customers
    • Planning and implementation of measures to promote distribution and sale of our products in pharmacies and drugstores
    • Team lead Professional sales force and support function
    • Close collaboration with Retail Marketing to develop integrated marketing and brand strategies as well as activities for the pharma channel
    • Sales and operations planning in company systems
    • Planning and controlling of advertising expenses
    • Monthly analysis and development/adaptation of action plans to obtain agreed annual targets
    • Planning and safeguarding the implementation of customer specific promotional activities for the brands elmex, meridol and Colgate


  • Build recommendation and personal use with dental professionals and generate sales into the dental office for consumer and professional products:
    • Planning and monitoring of dental sales using available tools such as CRM/Atlas others delivering against budget
    • Leading and developing a strong Professional field team for detailing
    • Optimal deployment of resources/materials and samples for all detail/sales calls while providing appropriate tools (CRM and others) and ongoing skills- and product/sales training
    • Optimization of selling & distribution structure to ensure optimal product distribution
    • Monitors (competitor) activity in the professional environment
    • Ensures state of the art representation of the company at congresses for dental professionals and fairs and secures participation, representation and required materials for these events
    • Secures adequate dental advertising in dental professional journals according to company priorities and marketing best practices
    • A&P budget planning
    • Lead and/or participate as Project Manager for special projects related to Professional business


  • Execution of sales conferences



Key Skills, Competencies & Qualifications:

  • P&L responsibility for Professional sales
  • Management of A&P investment for Professional sales channel
  • Coordinate oral care education material for use while Dental detailing and Pharmacy visits
  • Develops and coaches professional sales force teams to optimize sales and strengthen brand recommendation
  • Build Pharmacy and Dental strategy and secure annual target achievement
  • Organization and execution of dental fairs and conferences together with Scientific Affairs Manager/ Retail Environment Specialist and dental field team
  • Fluent in English and German, both verbal and written; basic knowledge in French
  • Experience in Google Suites, SAP S4H and CRM
  • Knowledgeable on Swiss requisrements (AMBV, HMV)
