Position: Tax Specialist 

Location: Sao Bernardo do Campo, SP, BRA  

Role Summary

Technical and strategic role focused on tax intelligence. The main focus is to ensure the correct interpretation, update, and application of indirect tax legislation across all company operations, ensuring that legal changes are translated into efficient and secure processes for the business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Tax Legislation Monitoring: Daily monitor and interpret indirect tax legislation (ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS/COFINS, IBS, and CBS), ensuring communication regarding necessary changes to impacted areas after alignment with management.

  • Process Validation: Validate that new legal guidelines are correctly applied in billing and purchasing workflows, preventing technical interpretation errors.

  • Tax Reform Project: Act on the Tax Reform project, assisting in defining how new rules should be implemented systemically and operationally.

  • Consultative Support: Provide consultative support to Finance, Procurement, Sales, and Marketing areas regarding tax operations.

  • Technical Documentation & Rulings: Prepare and analyze formal consultations, special regime requests, and technical documents for presentation to competent authorities.

  • Audit Support: Provide support in handling tax audits and inspections.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree completed in Law.

  • Experience: Consolidated experience in indirect taxes (ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS/COFINS). Proven experience in drafting technical opinions, providing consultative support to business units, and implementing tax projects. Experience in tax compliance, audits, and inspections. Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence tools applied to tax consultancy activities (e.g., NotebookLM, ChatGPT, Gemini).

  • Language: Advanced English proficiency.

  • Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have): Experience in Big 4 or tax law firms. Post-graduate degree in Tax Law or Tax Management. Knowledge of SAP.
