Reporting to the Customer Development Manager, National Metcash, the Customer Development Executive - National Metcash Health & Beauty is responsible for providing support to the Independents CDT in the following key areas:

 

Strategic Planning & Forecasting: 

  • Forecasting & Management: Lead a disciplined monthly process to manage forecasting, sales targets, and stock weight.

  • Executing Plans: Implement approved business plans and promotional strategies to achieve sales objectives.

  • Finding Growth: Identify and pursue growth opportunities within customer accounts to realise incremental sales.

 

Performance/ Return On Investment & Proactive Analysis:

  • Data driven decisions: Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and proactively recommend actions to optimise results.

  • Negotiation: Negotiate with customer buying teams to gain alignment on assortment, pricing, displays, and in-store activities.

  • Technology integration: Leverage AI technology to streamline processes and drive greater efficiency across business operations.

 

Best in Class Customer Partnership:

  • Be the partner of choice:  Understand your Customer's challenges to identify and highlight opportunities

  • Financial Collaboration: Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure claims are handled promptly, addressing any issues quickly and effectively.

 

Execution and Field Sales Team (FST):

    • Promotion management: Lead the planning, execution, and review of promotions, with a strong emphasis on RGM principles and ongoing process improvement.

    • Field Team Communication: Work closely with the FST to share important updates about the market/account, promotions and displays ensuring information is shared quickly and accurately

    • Driving new initiatives: Be the internal driver of how we GTM on NPD and Activation of key events (Prepacks, POS)

 

What you’ll need...

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • At least 3 years of experience in category/customer/account roles or adjacent experiences required

  • Experience working with a syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Quantium) preferred

  • Experience working in consumer product goods preferred

  • Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel & PowerPoint) or Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs) preferred
