As Commercial Analytics Manager, you will transform complex data into clear commercial advantages and contribute to a best in class analytics practice. This role must bring to life RGM analytics, Price and Promo analytics, marketing Analytics (like MMM)  and work with commercial stakeholders in driving decisions on Pricing, Promotions, Media Mix through a data driven approach. 

The key objective of the role is to translate analytics for business value creation. You will lead the evolution of our data landscape from foundational BI to advanced analytics driven insights. This is a high-impact role designed for someone ready to lead Business intelligence &  advanced data science application in the business for strategic outcomes

The role is to bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and executive decision-making. The role involves working with our  advanced data science team, IT teams, in-house and external in building robust analytics solutions.  It doesn’t involve building a data science model herself/himself but involves working with them to deliver solutions for business value creation. 

Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Business Partnering

  • Demand Generation Collaboration: Act as a trusted analytics partner to the Commercial team, identify growth providing data-driven narrative needed to lead us to grow above the market.

  • Strategic Innovation: Collaborate with the Innovation team to use data-driven forecasting and AI platforms to shape future product pipelines and go-to-market strategies.

  • Value Optimisation: Support pricing & promotional strategy, profit pool analysis, inventory tracking and trade investment decisions through post-promotion analysis, ROI modeling and the use of advanced AI tools. 

  • Strategic Enablement: Boost organizational data literacy by leading stakeholder training sessions (e.g., Unify+) to ensure high adoption of analytics tools.

2. Data Strategy & Financial Stewardship

  • Infrastructure & Master Data:  Automate internal and external data flows (SAP, Circana, Google Cloud) to consolidate retail datasets into a high-quality "single source of truth" for reliable performance reporting, and oversee the eCommerce database.

  • Budget Ownership: Manage the end-to-end data strategy budget, including PO management, vendor negotiations, and preparing financial exhibits for business reviews.

  • Security & Governance: Lead local application reviews (MFA/Protocols) and manage enterprise access for critical platforms like Quantium and Blue Yonder.

3. Advanced Modeling & Media Optimisation

  • MMM Architecture: Act as the lead architect for Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), overseeing simulations that dictate media spend and long-term investment strategy, both in upper and lower funnels, including retailer modelling.

  • Vendor Ecosystem: Lead the selection, contract negotiation, and implementation of advanced analytics vendors to enhance predictive capabilities.

  • Insights Translation: Synthesize technical outputs into executive-ready narratives that shape category growth and customer strategy.

 

Qualifications & Mindset

  • Experience: 7+ years in analytics, data science, or consulting-related roles

  • Analytics capability: Technical proficiency in Python and/or SQL, statistical methods, and data interpretation

  • Consulting mindset: Strong stakeholder management, problem structuring, and communication skills - including presenting to senior audiences.

  • Commercial acumen: Ability to identify business opportunities and collaborate with commercial stakeholders to action - ideally in the FMCG / CGP space

  • AI curiosity: Experience or genuine interest in applying AI/GenAI and automation in delivery

  • At least 2 years in customer management or data processing, knowledge of reporting tools and visualisation techniques and tools like Tableau, DOMO, Power BI
