Please note: This role will be for a fixed term contract period of 12 months.

 

About the Role

As Search Manager within Colgate-Palmolive, your main purpose is to manage Search across all current & future Digital platforms. Main objective is to maximize portfolio of Colgate-Palmolive brands’ ranking performance on all paid and organic search platforms, both off-platform and on-platform. You will demonstrate clear mastery of all search mechanics across Search Engine Advertising (SEA, also called SEM), and organic search (SEO). You’ll partner with our digital agencies, as well as our internal teams (Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Brand teams). You need to be both very strategic and hands-on as you will be managing the Search strategy from the strategy building to the implementation, with no direct report.

 

  • SEM (70%): 
  • SEM off-platform (Google): Set up the strategy, implement the actions, monitor performance and optimise on a weekly/daily basis in collaboration with our Division team. 
  • SEM on-platform (retailer websites): For Brick & Clicks omni-channels retailers (Coles / WW etc.), manage SEM in-house through the Citrus platform. Define strategy based on power portfolio, business priorities and shopper activation campaigns. Track KPIs and optimise campaigns on a daily basis. For Amazon: Work initially with current agency with an objective to in-house SEM management overtime to build internal capabilities and improve plans efficiency.
  • SEO (30%): 
    • SEO off-platform (Google):  Improve ranking and increase online reach by driving improvements in content and technical SEO. In collaboration with the Division, set up the vision, define the plans and implement actions at a local level.
    • SEO on-platform (retailer websites): recommend content optimisation on retailer websites (Brick & Click and Amazon) based on retailer algorithm understanding. 

 

An Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with 3 years minimum of search experience, across SEM only or SEM & SEO, on both Google and retailers websites.  
  • Some level of in-house Search management mandatory.
  • CPG experience preferred, but not required.
