Over the duration of the industrial placement you will be part of the UK Omnichannel Shopper Marketing Team playing a vital role in accelerating our strategic brands across core UK & Ireland retailers, reaching shoppers at various points along the path to purchase to drive awareness, consideration and purchase. 

This role reports to the Tesco Omnichannel Shopper Marketing Manager and you will work across the full marketing funnel including in store point of sale, online, social, events and influencer content. 


In this exciting role: 

  • You will be responsible for your own retailers Tesco Ireland, Waitrose, Ocado, and support the wider shopper marketing team. 
  • Create strong omnichannel media plans that align with both strategic brand and commercial priorities 
  • Manage budgets and assist in artwork creation of digital and in store content.
  • You will work closely with media agencies 
  • Gain experience on working with influencers and lead on a fully immersive beauty event driving Colgate's whitening portfolio.

What you will do:

  • Deployment of activations for core accounts 
  • Develop and implement Category Demand Omnichannel shopper marketing programs for Waitrose and Tesco Ireland
  • Deliver Ocados digital plan collaboratively with CDM
  • Work closely with Colgate Palmolive’s brand teams on content creation
  • Build strong relationships and work closely with customer development managers (CDM) to influence plans based on ABL (above the line) media strategic priorities and align with promotional / commercial commitments
  • Review results against plan KPIs, report back to the business on progress, learning and key successes and take corrective action
  • Take ownership and effectively manage budgets 
  • Manage account budgets on an ongoing basis ensuring phasing is maintained, there are no overspends and concerns / opportunities are communicated effectively
  • Ensure monthly budget processes are made in a timely manner
  • Lead on Superdrug Presents experiential event 
  • Work with commercial team & brand on objectives, KPIs and brand focus to support Superdrug Presents Event
  • Work closely with agencies on briefing, planning and execution of an unmissable stand design and stand engagement (competitions). Provide assets and guidance to agency to ensure look and feel aligns with brand
  • Ensure relevant approval and sign off is carried out (brand, shopper, legal)
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to ensure a full digital support plan is in place to drive strong engagement on the stand and extend awareness beyond the event

Required Qualifications 

  • University degree at a minimum, BS degree in marketing or a related field 
  • Experience in marketing and in FMCG companies would be preferable. 
  • English fluency is mandated, other European languages would be a plus.
