Job Purpose

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the logistics and warehousing operations across the UK businesses to meet the relevant Hill’s customer service standards. This includes working closely with our 3PL partner(s) to ensure efficient day-to-day operations,  co packing process and POP materials distribution.

The element of this role will be responsible for continuous improvement and best practice roll out in regards to system integration.

 

Main Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Daily Stock Reconciliation with the Warehouse
  • Receive Financial approval for Stock Adjustment
  • Review the results of Cycle Stock Counts
  • Manage scrapping of FG and POS Materials
  • Participates in Wall2Wall Count
  • Stock aging control
  • Inbound shipments tracking
  • Manage Returns & Claims with Warehouse, processes in System

 

Operational Control

  • Daily communication with the warehouse (booking transport, reviewing claims and customer queries)
  • Review EDI Flow, processes failed EDIs, ensures correct postings
  • Ensure proper setup of new SKUs in SAP
  • Drive continuous improvement re system integration

 

Cost Control

  • Validate WH and TRA Invoices vs actual expenses
  • Raise POs for WH, TRA

 

Support of Commercial Activities

  • Control supply and distribution of POS Materials
  • Work with Marketing to prepare instructions for local copacking
  • Coordinate copacking projects between Marketing and  to the WH
  • Posting of copacking activities in SAP

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or Logistics
  • 3-5 years of experience in the area of ​​logistics, receipt or dispatch of materials
  • SAP R/3 Proficiency, preferably with EDI experience
  • Excellent computer literacy (Google Suite)
  • Broad experience within the following fields would be an advantage: consumer goods, customer development, manufacturing, customer service, logistics and/or finance
