Job Purpose

Within this position you will be required to: 

  • Work closely with the Accounts Receivable (AR) team to deliver on AR KPIs, while ensuring control compliance at all times.

  • Provide commercial support and analysis to the Customer Development Team, and 

  • Support the Commercial Finance team with any ad hoc analysis/tasks

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Interface between Colgate Business Service (CBS) centre and the local Customer Development teams with regards to deductions management: 

  • Help manage deductions for specific customers

  • Facilitate issue resolution with commercial teams

  • Review and analyse regular AR and deduction reporting from CBS

  • Attend & participate in AR clinic discussions

  • Provide analytical support to the Commercial Development Finance team:

  • Pricing review and analysis

  • Assist with key internal controls (eg: promotions without accrual, rebate closures, manual rebates, etc...)

  • Ad-hoc tasks

 

Personal Attributes

  • Works with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Structured and organised, able to prioritise and manage several tasks simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a high pressured environment

  • Ambitious and proactive

  • Professional Finance Qualification is desirable but not required (e.g. Bachelor of Commerce or Statistics)

  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Excel. SAP experience is preferable.

  • Financial analysis with financial statement understanding

  • Previous experience in a similar field is required

  • To facilitate cross-functional issue resolution in the areas of Accounts Receivable and trade discount spend.

  • Cross functional stakeholder management 

  • Efficient work planning & prioritisation
