Job Purpose

  • Manage Prescription Only Medicine (POM) oral care product portfolio (Duraphat) to deliver all KPIs including net sales, prescription/application generation, margin and professional recommendation objectives.

 

  • Grow sales and demand for Duraphat portfolio- the established leader in high fluoride oral care products, clinically proven to prevent, stop and reverse dental caries.
  • Liaise and influence external UK stakeholders, including policy makers, active members of public health, local commission groups (CCGs) and professionals on strategic growth initiatives. 
  • Work closely with European team to assess strategic opportunities and build 5-year pipeline to expand market and demand for Duraphat portfolio.
  • Lead go-to-market for POM oral care portfolio product launches for N. Europe markets (UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland).

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage pharmaceutical caries portfolio (Duraphat) to deliver net sales, prescription/application generation, margin and professional recommendation objectives
  • Own the development and implementation of annual brand plan for portfolio and ensure full stakeholder buy-in
  • Create and implement specific programmes following brand plan to drive increased volume and net sales of portfolio across the NE Hub
  • Manage communications to relevant internal stakeholders on brand portfolio, including development of detailing materials and roll out of product knowledge during training meetings
  • Ensure timely communication as required with key internal stakeholders on brand issues or activities (Customer Development, CS&L, Finance, Consumer Affairs, Division Professional Marketing)
  • Work with Scientific affairs manager to develop & liaise with KOLs as required
  • Work with relevant external agencies / consultants as required to build compelling story / proposal leading to expanded access or prescribing to key patient risk groups
  • Partner closely with the N. Europe Professional Group Brand Manager to:
    • Identify high fluoride market expansion opportunities leveraging market insights
    • Network and form strategic partnerships that support brand strategy and professional objectives
    • Develop and implement engagement plan to a) drive expanded access for relevant high risk group patients in need of professional high fluoride and other in-office or at-home oral care treatments, b) drive professional recommendation, prescribing and dispensing of Colgate branded professional oral care products.
  • Leverage insights and data to create strategies and programmes addressing prescribing barriers
  • Identify and executes opportunities to partner with NHS demonstrating deep understanding of changing NHS structures impacting dentistry
  • Work closely with EU team to progress current NPD projects and lead the development and implementation of go-to-market strategy and plan.
  • Collaborate with Professional Business Mgrs in N. Europe countries to build business case leveraging market insights, forecasting/projections and gain launch approval for NPD.
  • Manage advertising and promotions budget using key processes including A&P tracker and Ebuy
  • Manage product training for all Oral Care Consultants to drive knowledge of portfolio and clinical studies (ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance requirements)
  • Manage monthly data analysis and business review processes
  • Lead the commercialisation of new professional oral care bundles, including pricing and communication plans across NE countries (UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland)

 

  • Communicate all risks and opportunities within brand responsibility on a timely basis to Group Brand Manager
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Pharmacovigilance procedures and reporting of Adverse Events in line with procedures

 

 

 

Personal Attributes

  • Educated to degree level is desired
  • Highly competent commercial and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Basic (oral) health or life science a must
  • Previous healthcare or pharma marketing or market access experience desired
  • Strong and effective written and oral communication
  • Personal presence that (1) commands respect/trust and the ability to build strong relationships quickly throughout CP’s matrix structure and (2) commands respect/trust to be gained from dental professionals & government officials, esp. Department of Health
