Scope of Responsibility: 


Plan, direct, and supervise all Production activities & Services to meet the production schedules with optimum utilization of resources, ensuring product quality, EOHS norms, equipment upkeep, while keeping costs and wastage at the lowest possible levels. Develop and implement manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocate labour and capital resources to maximize productivity. Analyze production, maintenance, and downtime records to identify & resolve problems for performance improvement. Interface with other functions such as Quality, Commercial, Logistics & Planning, HR etc. to drive Supply chain efficiency. To understand their current and future product needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities. Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of supervisors who are responsible for various production activities such as making, finishing & other incidental activities. 


Core Responsibilities: 

 

  • To meet the production plans while having a balance between maintaining cost within the budgets, complying with quality and EOHS. 
  • Visible leadership to drive operational excellence (EOHS Quality &FP&R) 
  • Drive continuous improvement to deliver targets on efficiency, FTG, EOHS & Quality performance. 
  • To manage a team of front line team leaders, area leaders and associates, mentor and develop them to meet the goals. 
  • Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules 
  • Funding Growth 
  • Identifies opportunities, prioritizing and planning implementation, prioritise, reviews and monitors to deliver targets 
  • EOHS & Quality Performance Improvement 
  • Ensures a good understanding of expectations among the team through training, Identifies gaps and develops action plan. 
  • Allocates resources & monitors progress. Interface with the EOHS & Quality leads. 
  • Applying the PMS process for Associates, coaching and feedback. Identify skill gaps and develop the skill sets of the Operations Team. 
  • Develop & maintain congenial work environment. 
  • Deliver Volumes, Operational KPI”s, Schedule manufacturing activities efficiently 
  • Coordination for effective equipment maintenance 
  • Training of Resources, Skill Development. Identify and build required flexibility in Plant operations. Drive FP&R initiatives. 


Education: 

  • B.E/ B. Tech in Mechanical / Production /Electrical Engineering (Desired: M.B.A. (Operations / Supply Chain Management) 


Experience: 

  • Minimum working experience of 8 years.
  • Experienced in managing Production activities in a Medium/large manufacturing setup of similar segment (eg. Consumer Goods, Pharma, Foods etc)[Desired: Engineering & Maintenance OR Projects (E&C) experience]
