As our Specialist, Quality Warehouse you will lead warehouse quality and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and global standards. It partners with operations to embed quality into daily processes, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and manages internal and third-party audits. The position also supports broader quality programs, including SOP reviews, manufacturing audits, and Quality Management System activities such as CAPA and deviations. You will coordinate the global program for warehouses used by Hill’s to meet and implement the Global Warehouse Quality Standards. You'll support and execute Global Compliance activities. 

 

You will lead warehouse quality and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and global standards. You'll partner with operations to embed quality into daily processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and manage internal and third-party audits. You will also support broader quality programs, including SOP reviews, manufacturing audits, and Quality Management System activities such as CAPA and deviations. 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the auditing program for warehouses globally, completion of the annual risk & self assessments and coordinate execution of the audit program. Ensure that audit KPIs are met and reported to leadership

  • Lead the Annual Hill’s Global Mock Recall Program for all manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers, warehouses and co-packers

  • Provide guidance to support and maintain warehouse audit readiness

  • Maintain and update warehousing corporate SOPs.

  • Coordinate global warehouse complaint investigations. Ensures proper documentation of quality and food safety related issues, CAPA and failure investigations.

  • Facilitate training on the Warehouse Quality Standards and food safety applicable topics (pest control, regulatory audits, etc).

  • Coordinate AIB audit program for warehousing. Ensure that the reported CAPAs are addressed, closed and reported in compliance with the Warehouse Quality Standards and applicable regulations

  • Participate in the Global Compliance Program, supporting quality initiatives (Corporate SOP periodic review, manufacturing plants audits, Quality Management system, non-conformances/CAPA/Deviation).

  • Ensure compliance to the electronic system used for traceability and recall (example: SAP ZFDA report).

  • Ensure adherence to Global Warehouse Quality Standards, applicable FSMA regulations, FDA readiness, continuous improvement and Quality Technical Agreements

  • Influence change within a highly matrixed organization

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Engineering, or Food Science, or other related field

  • 3+ years logistics and/or manufacturing experience in a Food or drug / cGMP environment

  • 3+ years in experience in a Quality related field

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years supervisor experience 

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, Food Safety, cGMPs

  • Masters of Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Engineering, or Food Science, or other related field

  • Certification in PCQI, SQF Practitioner, BPCS

  • Certified Auditor

  • Familiar with local and international food and transport regulations

  • Experience in Warehouse and / or transportation operations


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
