Overview of Role:

You are a global design leader with the creativity, empathy and courage needed to lead brand design for a Division of Colgate-Palmolive. The challenge of transforming a traditional CPG powerhouse into a design-integrated, industry leading company excites you. You inspire people around you, dream big and push boundaries but always deliver. 
 
Our Division Design Leaders have a deep experience of  the discovery, development and delivery of brand experiences across touchpoints – online and offline. You are a strategic designer. You understand the changing needs of business partners (e.g. Marketing) and convert them into holistic brand experience design. These solutions meet marketing and business objectives for the Divisions across 2D and 3D packaging, digital platforms, retail environments and e-commerce.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead (originate) the creation, delivery and sustained activation of our design systems for our Division brands 
  • Collaborate (adapt) the Global design systems for Global brands in our Division
  • You will lead the Division Brand Design team
  • Create and communicate Design strategy to influence and educate key stakeholdersDrive brand touchpoint design excellence with internal and external agency partners (starting with packaging and expanding to any and all meaningful brand activations)
  • Champion Colgate-Palmolive’s Design vision, approach, systems and governance. 
  • Lead / participate in design dialogue
  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners to develop Briefs and Project Plans
  • Build relationships to influence  regional marketing/business leaders to elevate impact and role of design
  • Design project timelines, deliverables and budget. 
  • Manage resources (photographers, Illustrators, internal and external design and production partners).

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 12+ years professional experience in design, brand or related creative industry
  • Working knowledge of necessary software applications and platforms
  • Hands-on packaging design skills
  • Omni-channel experience 
  • English language fluency
  • Prior people leadership

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Digital design experience 
  • Mandarin language skills
  • Deep understanding of great brand design systems (brand equity, architecture, visual assets, governance)
  • Able to effectively and calmly ‘juggle’ multiple assignments at one time
  • Great Communicator
  • Very good Presenter
  • Global Perspective and overall business curiosity
