This person works in closely cooperation with elmex OCCs Supervisor. Interacts with Consumer Marketing, Category Retail Marketing Pharma and Customer Management Pharma to develop strategies and tactics and complete the oral care category generating demand through dentists to pharmacy channel.

Elmex Professional Brand Coordinator plays a meaningful role in positioning elmex in the professional area as an important, scientific, innovative, premium and credible oral care partner who is engaged in improving oral health.

What you will do

Works together with Professional Oral Care Head to develop the Professional touch-points plan & grid

  • Implement scientific related activities of the global PRO2020 reinforcing elmex scientific credentials and building strong relationships with key dental influencers
  • Develop KOL and Academia engagement plan, including digital and millennial
  • Sponsors, plans, and organizes activities such as scientific congresses, conferences and symposia, and identifies joint projects to work on with experts, academia and professional associations
  • Implement Dental Schools Program & Academia Plan


Provides scientific support to Consumer Marketing and Detailing

  • Adapts master professional bundle materials for local use including local legal approval.
  • Works closely with consumer marketing to develop go-to-market plans to launch elmex products to experts, academia, professional organizations and clinical practices, including post launch performance measurement.
  • Develops and delivers training and education to elmex OCCs and others on the scientific background and indication of products, their technology and scientific evidence to ensure the “expert-to-expert” approach according to target group


Organization and People Management

  • Leads and develops a scientific affairs plan, including academic affairs implementation
  • Monitors team dynamics, ensuring that the team is operating efficiently and effectively
  • Reviews scientific programs and activities, ensuring optimal deployment of financial resources and quality planning
  • Ensures that the OCCs team keeps current on scientific literature and elmex’s technology, products and ingredients
  • Fosters the cooperation and coordination between scientific and the detailing/sales team to gain professional endorsements
  • Ensures that “Lead with the Profession” imperatives are communicated to the entire team
  • Conduct regular monitoring and performance management reviews and develops appropriate training programs to improve individual and team competencies and performance outputs


Developing Go to Market Strategy

  • Development of a Strategy which defines the role of service provides to the professional in integration with pharmacy needs to generate dentists demand.


Assessment of elmex performance in pharmacy channel and objective-setting

  • Leading the professional strategy linked with pharmacy strategy which seeks to exploit incremental sales growth opportunities in existing, emerging and new pharmacy customers
  • Establishing objectives and critical metrics for all partners ensuring tracking mechanisms are in place and used
  • Anticipating, predicting, and proactively responding to driven moves and tactics to the profession
  • Tracking, reviewing and modifying professional plans to ensure elmex is driving consumption and brand objectives are achieved within pharmacy channel and customer P&L guidelines
  • Conducting pre and post analyses of customer and channel promotions, developing a library of performance history, and adjusting business plans based on results to drive improved return on investment in all types of trade spending


Objective setting, activity coordination and spending

  • Coordinating the planning and execution of professional elmex plan
  • Optimizing resources and leveraging learning

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of BA degree, preferably Marketing or Business;
  • Fluent English
  • Progressive experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry in consumer marketing in variety of medical, therapeutically, pharmacy and or dental professional brands – on demand generation model
  • Consistent achievement of professional marketing, brand management, business goals on demand generation model & financial - Additional knowledge of project management a plus
  • Proven ability to understand and develop professional strategies and plans managing Professional Plan and financials/Budget - Technical skills required to successfully perform the generic job
  • Develop and encourage cross-organizational relationships to deliver business results.
  • Translating brand strategies into Professional arena, interacting with Customer & Retail Environments plans and go-to-market/5P strategies and execution
