The Information Technology (IT) Supervisor is responsible for the provisioning of Global Information Technology (GIT) infrastructure services (local, virtual and specialized services) and critical support to the Brazilian subsidiary (One commercial office, two manufacturing plants and one macrowarehouse). This position manages a team of 4 Colgate’s employees and contractors to oversee computer systems and software maintenance and repairs; assist with computer equipment procurement and installation; and to maintain networks and connectivity for over 2050 users. Additionally, this position maintains effective communication with plant and warehouse leaders as well as with Workplace & Collaboration Services (WCS) reporting upper managers.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop a plan to support all Colgate Palmolive Brazil facilities and employees.
  • Manage a team of 4; conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and career development, assign work and lead the team.
  • Manage all members of the team, to develop their skills both individually and as a group, to ensure a world class service is being provided.
  • Lead, manage and direct the team to support all aspects of the IT infrastructure and IT service, taking operational responsibility for the team.
  • Mentor the team on key WCS activities, including project management, user interactions and technical research and troubleshooting.
  • Organize support, troubleshooting, and repair for IT equipment and networks
  • Oversees contractors that provide IT support, including providing direction, training, and feedback.
  • Coordinate IT support for all key Colgate Palmolive Brazil executives, including technology training, asset replacement and upgrades, repairs, moves, changes and general questions.
  • Ensure that appropriate action is taken to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in systems and services ensuring that such problems are fully documented within the relevant system(s). Coordinate the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures and analyse patterns and trends.
  • Ensure that incidents and requests are handled according to agreed procedures and ensure that documentation of the supported components is available and in an appropriate form for those providing support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase customer satisfaction and develop key performance indicators (KPI s) to measure the impact of improvements
  • Plan and manage the departmental budget and performance against plan; track spending on equipment, travel,contractors, etc.
  • Develop implementation plans for dealing with complex requests for change or for the introduction of new services, evaluating risks to integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations and review the effectiveness of change implementation.
  • Take responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the project. Ensure that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and provide regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively, acting as a key liaison with customers, team members and colleagues in Colgate Palmolive Brazil; develop a reputation of IT leadership, as both a trusted subject matter expert in IT as well as a reliable partner in coordination of IT initiatives to executive leadership and business leaders.
  • Promote and assist in the implementation of WCS strategies, policies and procedures
  • Coordinate necessary development and support activities with GIT, line of business functional groups, as well as with outside vendors and contractors.
  • Work with internal/external auditors and WCS team to provide all required information, quickly anticipate and ensure any concerns are quickly remediated.
  • Ensure all audits were complete without any WCS Control Comments or concerns.
  • Establish plans to mitigate the risk with changes in end user technology.
  • Develop and maintains emergency plans to address equipment, power, or security failure to ensure preservation of technology and data
  • Has a thorough understanding of available technology and researches to learn about innovative solutions and new releases
  • Ensure all IT equipment in conference rooms is working appropriately
  • Lead Tech Expos to engage CP Brazil users in new technologies introduced by IT
  • Enable team to become experts in Google GSuite tools and act as liaisons with the core Collaboration team.
  • Pilot new technologies (eg: new devices, new tools) to provide feedback for global rollout projects.

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or a related field
  • Strong experience in the Information Technology IT department with computers and networks or related technical field, preferably in a consumer goods organization, in a multinational environment
  • Solid people management experience
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and Portuguese language

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Experience with Cisco
  • Experience with Lenovo equipment
