Responsibilities

  • Product Testing: Execute microbiological robustness, preservative effectiveness, and method validation testing in compliance with company SOPs and FDA stability guidelines.

  • Plant & Lab Support: Conduct microbiological analysis on water, raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), environmental samples, and finished products across our Pilot Plant and Antares facilities.

  • Data Integrity & Quality: Maintain rigorous laboratory QC systems. Keep accurate, concise records following ALCOA data integrity principles and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) when needed.

  • Investigations: Lead Laboratory Investigation Reports (LIRs) and participate in failure investigations to collect samples and root out anomalies.

  • Equipment & Culture Care: Support the culture maintenance and storage program, and assist vendors with IQ/OQ/PQ qualifications for lab instruments.

  • EHS & GMP Compliance: Actively coordinate and execute Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities to mitigate risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.

  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial laboratory environment, or in a highly similar microbiological role.

  • Advanced English proficiency.

  • Deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Environmental Safety, and Biohazard management (EHS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of microbiological testing, laboratory processes, and GMP/Quality systems to ensure product and raw material integrity.

  • Proven ability to build mutually supportive relationships with internal/external global colleagues and communicate technical data clearly and concisely.

  • A proactive mindset focused on driving continuous improvement in daily laboratory operations.
