Manage and maintain the provisioning of critical Infrastructure services (local, virtual and specialized services) to the business. Lead and project manage complex and/or major Infrastructure initiatives. Monitor and improve the Infrastructure Services performance and utilization. Develop partnership with Mission Hills business management, users and vendors. Maintain effective communication with Mission Hills management and WCS reporting upper Managers.

 

Scope of Responsibility:

 

Performance and reliability

  • Monitor, coordinate and manage with relevant people any infrastructure/system performance and reliability issue
  • Act as liaison of Infrastructure Global Service to escalate/resolve subsidiary and business/GIT critical issues
  • Lead investigations of unusual patterns or anomalies that impact the team and overall business objectives, and determine and/or recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ensure alignment of GIT standards, policies and procedures
  • Ensure audit compliance
  • Perform System/infrastructure administration activities and ensure compliance with maintenance policies and security requirements
  • Manage PC and IT equipment procurement, replacement and maintenance, including assets tracking, leasing and budget aspects.
  • Monitor, and review support issues, and provide second level support as required

Planning

  • Provide local coordination and planning of Grid projects.
  • Participate in and drive participation of the Business users in the change management process. Plan for the effective preparation of the business users for new products/services releases.
  • Develop a performance measurements framework and facilitate feedback systems to Infrastructure staff on issues such as customer service, communication, and technical skills, in order to enhance the quality of support delivered.
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of customer and business needs. Identify and implement initiatives that improve and support business processes/systems, reflect and standardize best practices, generate efficiencies.
  • Maintain knowledge about current industry trends, capabilities of the latest technology, and the potential impact on supporting the business.

Communication and Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong effective relationships with Mission Hills management team and business users.
  • Keep all relevant stakeholders (business and GIT) fully informed of plans, progress, issues and risks
  • Promotes teamwork in both local and global organization
  • Locally monitor, support and encourage increased utilization of IT technologies thru technology launches and training sessions
  • Act as technology advocate and coordinate technology advocates program for the subsidiary users. Maintain proactive communication with key users at all levels to ensure the End-user’s perspective is kept in mind and interaction with IT products/services is simplified.
  • As part of the continuous improvement process, collaborate with other GIT teams (Global Development, Global Infrastructure, etc.) to evaluate standards, propose policies and procedures for enhancing End-User support/experience.
  • Assist the Infrastructure Global Service with the preparation and administration of local WCS budget, and business plans and metrics.
  • Manage and prepare for events which are not part of the standard operation of a service and which can cause service interruptions (could include, but not limited to), Continuity Planning, Problem Resolution, Post Outage Reviews and Management updates/reporting). Performs other duties as assigned.


Basic Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics,  Electronics or related field.
  • A proven track record of performance with at least 3 years of experience, working in an IT Manufacturing support environment and increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in multinational environment
  • Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms (English and Spanish)
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new computer systems and functionality, adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, technologies, individuals and cultures.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • ITIL Service Management v3 certification preferred.
  • Preferably experience in private sector and a consumer goods organization
