Manage effectively the activities and maintenance personnel for a specific area, taking care of its development, business needs and serving the operation as the main customer.


Main Responsibilities:


- Follow-up to safety guidelines, risk identification and Near Miss surveys.
- Ensure that their teams have the appropriate certifications before performing a job
- Authorize and validate work permits
- Walkthroughs of Safe Conduct and Closing of Safety Findings
- Coordinate and carry out maintenance and instrument verification activities following good manufacturing practices and quality procedures.
- Keep your work area clean and orderly.
- Notify, report and attend to the anomalies in the detected equipment.
- Ensure compliance with policies / procedures and activities of productivity standards.
- Manage staff, materials, and equipment to meet performance targets.
- Track and analyze equipment and product failures and defects due to equipment failure
- Execute new technology in the operation.
- Control the maintenance cost of the assigned area
- Listen, develop and encourage innovation, growth and improvement in their work teams.
- Identify, recommend and implement maintenance cost reduction programs
- Makes recommendations on capital and operating budgets.
- Contributes to the development of plans and strategies and contingencies for any introduction

These descriptive activities being more non-limiting, all those that the same production demands will be covered.


Basic Requirements: 


  • Engineering degree or related technical field
  • Minimum 4 years experience in corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance, in high voltage areas 115,000 volts, maintenance of substations, turbines, steam boilers greater than 350 hps, centrifugal and oil-free compressors greater than 150 hps, demineralized water plants or smoothed, and general maintenance to buildings or warehouses.
  • Experience in statistical control of processes.
  • English Language Proficiency by 70%
  • Knowledge of safety and industrial hygiene.
  • Management of Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing system.
  • Knowledge in Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electricity, Mechanics.
  • Knowledge in project implementation.
  • Knowledge about reengineering.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement.
  • Quality knowledge.
