Colgate is expanding its direct-to-consumer (DTC) and B2B eCommerce footprint globally. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with a specialized focus on Payment Orchestration and ERP Integration. You will be the technical architect behind how we collect revenue, ensuring that every transaction is captured securely in a payment-service-provider (PSP) and synchronized perfectly with our SAP Finance backend.
This position is based out of the Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
What you'll do

Architect & Develop: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend services (RESTful APIs/Microservices) and responsive frontend interfaces.

Collaborate: Partner with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and manage applications within cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure) using containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Quality Assurance: Write clean, well-documented code; perform thorough code reviews; and implement Unit/Integration testing to ensure high reliability.

Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies (AI/ML, Headless Commerce) and identify opportunities to integrate them into our digital ecosystem.

Performance Tuning: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across diverse global markets.
Key Responsibilities
-
Payment Orchestration: Design and implement robust integrations with global payment gateways to support credit cards, digital wallets (Apple/Google Pay), ACH, and localized payment methods.

SAP Integration: Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines between our eCommerce storefronts and SAP S/4HANA using the Order-to-Cash (O2C) framework.

Financial Lifecycle Management: Build automated workflows for complex financial events, including multi-currency payment capture, partial returns, automated refunds, and dispute management (chargebacks).

Cloud Middleware: Utilize SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to build extension applications and integrations that bridge the gap between cloud storefronts and the SAP core.

Security & Compliance: Ensure all payment flows adhere to PCI-DSS compliance and global data privacy standards (GDPR/CCPA).
Technical Requirements

Stripe Expertise (or equivalent): Deep experience with Stripe Elements, Stripe Billing, and Webhooks for real-time transaction monitoring.

Backend Mastery: Proficiency in Node.js or Python for building secure middleware and API layers.

SAP Ecosystem: Proven experience with SAP Finance (FI/CO) integration points and a strong understanding of how digital transactions map to General Ledger (GL) entries.

Payment Methods: Hands-on experience implementing diverse payment rails (ACH, SEPA, Digital Wallets, and Buy Now Pay Later).

Refund & Dispute Logic: Experience building logic for automated reconciliation, handling partial shipments/refunds, and programmatic dispute evidence submission.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in end-to-end web application development.

Frontend Stack: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.

Backend Stack: Strong experience with Node.js (Express/FastAPI) or Python (Django). Knowledge of Java is a plus.

Databases: Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Firestore) databases.

Tools: Mastery of Git version control and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications

SAP BTP: Experience using SAP Business Technology Platform for integration (Cloud Integration/Integration Suite).

SAP Digital Payment Add-On: Prior experience implementing this specific add-on to streamline gateway-to-ERP communication.

Headless Commerce: Experience with Commercetools, Shopify Plus, or Adobe Commerce (Magento) in a headless environment

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (BigQuery, App Engine).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $86,000.00 - $137,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
