The Operation Planning Coordinator develops daily production schedules; keeps Plant informed of schedules, and scheduling adjustments as needed; interfaces with corporate offices, warehouse personnel, and plant operations teams to meet customer and plant needs. 

In addition this position coordinates purchases of raw materials, packaging materials and indirect packaging materials to meet production requirements.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates purchases of Raw Materials and Packaging Materials
  • Develops daily production schedules while interfacing with Corporate IPD, warehouse personnel and plant operations team to ensure that schedules meet both customer and plant needs.
  • Makes arrangements to maintain inventory levels while facing logistical issues; develops contingency plans and strategies for any business interruption.
  • Facilitates troubleshooting of production scheduling problems, inventory variances, and yield variances in a timely manner. 
  • Verifies accuracy of daily transactions in SAP and yield reporting; performs monthly and quarterly inventories - physical and system
  • Participates as a resource for inventories of raw materials and packaging materials, develops count sheets, reconciles count sheets, enters counts/recounts and post inventories and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Interfaces with SAP data/system to set production plans, schedule requirements, Inventory management, and schedule adherence
  • Communicates all ingredients, packaging material, and indirect packaging material issues to the facility and acts as the liaison between the vendor and Corporate
  • Resource for SAP training, troubleshooting SAP issues, and liaison for Corporate regarding the SAP system – issues, system availability, upgrades, users’ access.

Education/ Experience Requirements:

Basic qualifications include:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years of scheduling experience 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated progress towards APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP certifications)
  • Experience with Google Suites (e.g: Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides)

 

Expected Areas of Skills 

  • Experience with Google Suites (e.g: Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product scheduling and SAP
  • Experience utilizing OPERA, Wonderware, and Infoserver
  • Ability to communicate and express ideas with other team members
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Working Relationships (Key partnerships and reporting relationships)

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
