We are on the lookout for a dedicated Research Scientist/Sr. Research Scientist in Personal Care, based in Piscataway, NJ location. This Scientist will have a passion for working with aerosol technology and pioneering consumer solutions. The successful candidate will participate in research initiatives and lead the market introduction of innovative products across our extensive portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Product Leadership: Lead product development and implementation of new formulations, while providing technical support for the Underarm portfolio in the personal care category.
End-to-End Execution: Drive formula development, validation, scale-up (in collaboration with Supply Chain), and final implementation.
Strategic Planning: Build project plans that align with business objectives by applying technical expertise in experimental design, measurement science, and formulation.
Project & Resource Management: Independently manage multiple concurrent technical projects while leveraging internal and external resources effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively across multi-disciplinary teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, Insights, and Quality.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a related field.

4+ years of experience developing and implementing aerosol based consumer products.

Working knowledge and proven experience in aerosol product development and implementation.

Understanding of aerosol packaging and its direct impact on overall product performance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a related field.

Understand industry/competitive trends, claim substantiation and regulatory requirements for EU cosmetic products.

Project management.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Self-motivated and able to work well within a dynamic team environment.

Possess strong project planning/prioritization and management, analytical decision making and organizational skills.

Possess excellent interpersonal and team skills; ability to communicate and influence and thrive in a cross functional environment.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $96,800.00 - $137,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
