Commercial Trainee

Customer Development Trainee role is supporting the Direct team (CZ&SK) with several analytical, coordination and administrative tasks. Person in this role will learn basic principles of customer management, execution of Retail Marketing strategies and will have an opportunity to be a key driver of our local shelter activation (Hill’s, Food, Shelter & Love program)

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Learn to do business with customers

  • Create deal sheets for all wholesaler customers (WHS)

  • Manage customer monthly retrospective payment process 

  • Run SAP reports first day of the month and update customer sheets incl.promo payments

  • Stock analysis based on specific needs of CDO Team, e.g. current focus on wet portfolio, availability/replacement

Actively participate in monthly business planning, execute sales and promo analysis for the vet channel. Manage and maintain reporting tools, optimize reporting to improve efficiency.

  • Sales Out, including promo effectiveness

  • Staff feeding 

  • Quick reco tool

Administration of Vet Partner program

  • Manage VP+ database & contracts and back up documentation

  • Prepare payment information (letters) for customers (2x/year)

  • Manage CBS communication & 1st step invoice approval. Monitor payment progress & share with team

Support Retail Marketing Manager in 6P execution

  • Adjust CZ/SK price list 

  • Prepare product information and packshots for WHS from Impira

  • Product info for Medor

  • Competitive analysis & any other ad hoc support

Manage local HFSL program

  • Manage shelter donation contracts and shipment documentation

  • Communication with shelters

  • Internal promotion and coordination of Shelter Patron activities

  • Support internal and field team with POS coordination

 

 

Education/ Experience

Minimum required qualification – Bachelor’s degree

Degree required in Business/Marketing/Management

Level of English: Upper Intermediate

Google/Microsoft Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs)

 

Expected Areas of Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Effective analytical and presentation skills

  • Ability to be highly organized with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

  • Ability to coordinate information and have attention to detail and accurately follow procedures

  • Skills in complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision making

  • Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and with others in a team environment, occasionally under time pressure and on several tasks at the same time
