Warehouse Operations Lead
As a Warehouse Operations Lead you will be at the forefront of orchestrating high-performance third-party logistics (3PL) operations. Your role is critical in driving operational excellence, leveraging data-driven insights, and fostering continuous improvement across our supply chain.

In this strategic capacity, you will be responsible for ensuring that our 3PL partners are not only meeting but exceeding expectations in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service delivery. Your expertise will guide the implementation of innovative solutions and best practices that keep us ahead in a competitive marketplace.

Your leadership will be instrumental in supporting us to build a cohesive team that is adept at managing the complexities of warehouse operations. From optimizing inventory flow to ensuring compliance with customer requirements, you will have the opportunity to make impactful decisions that contribute to our company's success. We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to driving excellence in every facet of our warehouse operations. 

 

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate Team Process Execution Excellence:

  • Ensure that all warehouse processes are performed flawlessly by the team, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop and enforce SOPs, quality control measures, and performance metrics to drive execution excellence
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss process improvements, address challenges, and share standard methodologies.
  • Implement robust inventory management practices to drive inventory accuracy excellence
  • Lead and coordinate robust wall-to-wall inventory counts across all warehouse locations. Develop and implement inventory count procedures that ensure accuracy and minimize disruption to operations. Work closely with the finance and audit teams to validate inventory valuation and maintain the integrity of stock information.
  • Act as a 1st level of partner concern for the operational issues and challenges within the Warehouse team

2. Manage the End-to-End Operational Process:

  • Take full ownership of the end-to-end warehouse processes for all assigned 3PL-operated facilities, from inbound logistics to order fulfillment and returns
  • Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and customer service departments to ensure seamless operations and inventory flow
  • Manage all salvage orders to include; damaged goods, closeout and/or  discontinued, SLOB, and any specific Supply Chain SKU reduction requests. 
  • Ownership of customer ASN or vendor compliance issues
  • Responsibility for monthly reporting of backhaul performance by warehouse to include follow up with Customer Service for all unfavorable trends
  • Control of all warehouse related EDI transactions. This includes supervising the EDI kickout report and corrective actions for all warehouse IDOCS transactions. Also to include sharing EDI training program for all designated 3rd party warehouse systems contacts.   
  • Ownership of quality hold sampling program and timely communication with order entry, transportation, and the warehouses for all product holds. Management of movements to and from quality hold and blocked hold in SAP and WMS.
  • Lead lot tracking product recalls, live and/or trace recalls, in support of the warehouse trace recall metrics.
  • Coordination of all restricted SKU’s product mapping and un-mapping with Data Management and the 3rd parties. Follow up for all restricted inventory releases, only those related to warehouse delays after the SAP release has been performed.

 

3. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Collaborate with 3PL partners to identify and implement standard processes that enhance warehouse operations and efficiency to deliver FTG goals
  • Analyze performance data to pinpoint areas for process optimization and cost reduction
  • Lead the adoption of innovative technologies and methodologies to improve inventory management, throughput, and service levels
  • Monitor industry trends and benchmark against best-in-class operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning within the team

4. Lead Special Projects:

  • Be responsible for special projects that impact warehouse operations, such as system implementations and integration enhancements, facility upgrades, or process re-engineering
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, setting clear objectives, timelines, and results
  • Communicate effectively with partners to ensure project alignment with business objectives and to report on progress and outcomes

5. Retain knowledge and support on-boarding process:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive onboarding program for new team members, mentor to ensure a smooth integration into the company and a clear understanding of operational processes
  • Create training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that align with company policies and goals. Regular review to ensure materials are up to date
  • Support new hires with knowledge assessment post on-boarding training process to address opportunities and drive execution excellence

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business / Logistics / related field 
  • 4+ years experience in Supply Chain / Logistics / Supply Chain experience
  • Strong project management and coordination skills 
  • Proven track record of managing third-party logistics providers and driving operational improvements
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Solid systems experience, including SAP, WMS, Google suit, Google Data Studio
  • Functional / Technical knowledge of Logistics:  Warehousing and/or transportation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Relationship leadership skills, with experience in contract management and vendor relations

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $102,400.00 - $128,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
