Under direct attorney supervision, the Sr. Legal Assistant will provide legal support to Litigation, HR and Compliance lawyers as set forth below:



Support in-house and outside counsel with a variety of general litigation issues, including those related to the Company’s products liability, marketing, and employment litigation such as:

  • Assist with the drafting, preparation and review of legal pleadings and discovery-related documents, including document requests, interrogatory responses, requests for admission, and answers to complaints.
  • Take the lead in retrieving documents and information from different Company departments in response to discovery requests, including conducting searches of electronic databases and interviewing and talking to Company employees
  • Collaborate closely with outside counsel to assist with litigation matters, including providing support in connection with discovery responses, motion practice, and fact and authority depositions
  • Assist attorneys in preparing Company personnel to give testimony at depositions, regulatory proceedings, or at trial.
  • Under supervision of litigation attorneys, be in the lead of running and responding to third-party subpoenas, including conducting interviews with Company employees, gathering documents, and preparing adaptable documents for attorney review and production.
  • Conduct legal and topical research as assigned, including Westlaw and internet searches, summarize case law and analyze and identify issues
  • Lead the Company’s Litigation Hold and e-Discovery processes, including the preparation, dissemination, maintenance and conclusion of document preservation hold memoranda in connection with ongoing or threatened litigation or government investigations, collaborating closely with the e-Discovery vendor, working with Global Information Technology to ensure preservation of relevant emails, and conducting google vault searches for relevant information
  • Run the litigation department’s matter management system (Onit) and maintaining and updating the litigation calendar
  • Supervise newly filed actions and for assigning certain new cases to counsel
  • Assist Litigation Team in the development and management of case reporting system, including regularly updating the system
  • Handle a litigation database, including accurate documentation of the number and designation of cases, case status and case dispositions
  • Work with the Chief Litigation Counsel to schedule and prepare for regular ligitation review meetings with the internal finance team and outside auditors and assist in preparing written materials regarding the litigation docket
  • Work with the internal finance team and outside law firms and third party vendors to assist with processing of electronic invoices


  • Assist HR attorneys in drafting and supervising consulting agreements and separation agreements
  • Support HR attorneys in gathering documents and information, interviewing witnesses and preparing responses to federal and state agencies, inquiries, and investigations
  • Conduct legal and topical research as assigned, including Westlaw and internet searches, summarize case law and analyze and identify issues


  • Assist Compliance attorneys in gathering documents and information, interviewing witnesses and preparing responses related to internal compliance investigations and external inquiries
  • Work with the Compliance counsel, for the quarterly trade sanctions certification process and to compile and send quarterly Division investigation summaries to each Division General Counsel
  • Conduct legal and topical research as assigned, including Westlaw and internet searches, summarize case law and analyze and identify issues
  • Perform other Litigation, HR and Compliance duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 10-12 years of solid experience as a litigation paralegal with a major law firm with a major corporation
  • High level of technology and digital literacy, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Google Suite of tools (Google Docs, Sheets and Slides), and Google Vault Searches
  • Experience with litigation hold process and software
  • Experience with e-Discovery issues and working with e-Discovery vendors.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, internet case searches)
  • Experience with litigation and investigatory fact finding


Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Public notary preferred
