Responsibilities include:


  • Formulate oral care products across different forms – Toothpaste, Mouthwash and other forms.
  • Create and maintain all required documentation under GMP/GLP. 
  • Maintain a clean and organize working environment.
  • Make small samples and pilot batches of new and old formulations for tests and customer sampling.
  • Support on Pilot Plant batches on preparing batch sheets, request raw materials, pre weighing materials and batch execution.
  • Work with support groups (Analytical, Flavor, Micro, etc) to deliver samples and follow up results. 
  • Work on multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Deliver effective presentations of technical data and project status.
  • Stay abreast of supplier and competitor’s new developments.
  • Partner with marketing and cross functional teams to build project timelines.
  • Actively participate in functional teams, regional Consumer Innovation Centers, Global Technology Centers, Technology Insights, Clinical and Global Supply Chain to develop and validate new concepts and products and ensure flawless commercialization including experimental design, measurement science and formulation.
  • Create and maintain all required documentation such as project timelines, formula databases, tech transfer checklists, proof of claims, registration documents, NODs, change control documents, technical justifications , claims support fundamentals. 
  • Initiate and manage multiple stability studies per FDA/ICH guidelines.
  • Abide by and follow all company Standard Operating Procedures including those for product development, regulatory and safety.
  • Use of R&D systems create stability protocols, sample requests to such as PDM, LabNet , LabLite, e-LabNotebook and others that apply.


Required Qualifications


  • Combination of one of the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences with minimum of 3 years functional experience in consumer products R&D, MS Degree in Sciences with minimum 2 years functional experience (The required field of study must be in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field)
  • 2-4 years of experience developing and/or implementing consumer products
  • Technical understanding of related chemistry and science (for example: active deliveries, emulsions, surfactants, rheology)
  • Experience scaling up formulations from lab through manufacturing scale.
  • Able to multi-task and coordinate various simultaneous projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated but able to work well within a team environment
  • Ability to leverage external connections (KOL, suppliers, laboratories, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of ingredient chemistry to be able to understand how the interdependencies and interactions of raw material components affect formulation and process performance
  • General understanding of manufacturing complexity and implications in product design
  • Knowledge of cGMP /GMP and GLP
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google suite)
