We are excited to invite applications for the position of SAP Business Process Analyst within our Global Technology (R&D) applications team! We are looking for a highly motivated ABAP developer to join our team to help us drive innovation at Colgate. 

 

This role will involve planning, design, development, and maintenance of SAP PLM applications for the R&D team with an initial focus on Ingredient Labeling and S4 migration.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong object oriented ABAP skills, with emphasis in Web Dynpro, HANA, AMDP, CDS, and Fiori/UI5. You have a passion for user experience, code and technology. You should be a self-starter - eager to learn, delight users, and protect user data through compliance with privacy standards & regulations and implementation of appropriate security safeguards.

 

The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with our business partners is also key. Understanding current business processes, documenting user requirements and developing applications with a collaborative and agile mindset is essential for success in this role.

 

The objective of this role is to:

  • Partner with the business to understand strategic R&D objectives and determine how to best support them through the effective use of SAP PLM technology
  • Liaise with the business to document business processes/ requirements and the proposed technical solutions
  • Solve business process and procedural problems by either configuring or providing supplemental ABAP code to SAP PLM modules.

 

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years in a technical IT role, developing, configuring and implementing business applications.

  • 5 years of experience working in ABAP and/or Web Dynpro

  • Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skills.

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience with SAP PLM (Recipe Management / Recipe Development) 

  • 2+ years of experience working with Fiori/UI5

  • Experience with SAP S4 Migration

  • Additional experience with SAP MM, PPM, DMS, Workflow and EHS would be beneficial
