What role will you play as a member of the Colgate's Research & Development team?
Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist, as a part of the host modulation group the applicant will lead efforts in the anti-bleeding, inflammation resolution and regeneration areas delivering on gum health.
Responsibilities:

Lead to drive the discovery and characterization of novel technologies for oral care benefits in the space of gum bleeding and inflammation resolution
-
Conduct Lab work to develop and optimize in vitro models, assays using current platforms: tissue models, co-culture cell models, cell lines and primary cells.

Develop and implement novel visualization techniques to demonstrate efficacy of actives and formulations

Manage daily laboratory operations support relevant research projects

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing,PD, Knowledge Management, Legal, Consumer Insight) with the ability to influence outside of your network and use diversity of thought to craft MoA based consumer language and concept

Initiate and drive proof of concept clinical study

Support product designing, positioning, developing and launching with solid scientific evidence and expertise

Ability to interact with multifunctional technical/non-technical personnel and be an effective participant in a team environment

Capable of carrying out independent research programs with minimal supervision

Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
-
Ph.D in Biological or Life Sciences is required
-
Cell culture skill experience
-
Strong expertise in immunology, regeneration, omics, cellular and molecular biology techniques

Innovative, creative, inquisitive, motivated researcher with strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to advance new scientific understanding
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to balance several projects simultaneously
-
Proven ability to work within a collaborative research team and effectively interact with a broad range of researchers from distinct fields
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Hands on experience in the development of in vitro, ex vivo disease model and pre-clinical evaluation of bioactives using human cells/tissues
-
Prior work experience or Post doctoral experience in of biological sciences or related field preferred
-
Knowledge of oral biology, mucosal immunology, single cell genomics, experience with 3D tissue models, stem cell will be a plus
Salary Range $88,800 - $131,250 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
