It is an exciting time to be a part of the Global Security Team! We are currently recruiting candidates for the position of Regional Security Manager, Latin America. In this position, you will:


  • Keep Colgate-Palmolive employees facilities and assets safe;
  • Provide consistent, high-quality service 24/7 to Colgate people and locations world-wide;
  • Provide crisis management and business continuity leadership, planning and training world-wide.


What you will do:

Specific position responsibilities will include the following areas:


  • Supervise all site and country security managers in Latin America;
  • Oversee security operations at Colgate’s Piscataway, NJ location;
  • Guide implementation of approved Global Security programs for Latin America business and manufacturing operations, and confirm the effectiveness of these initiatives and strategies. These initiatives include facilities protection, investigations, supply chain security, brand protection/anti-counterfeit, workplace security, travel security, personal security and coordinating executive and event protection;
  • Directs the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive headquarters security program to include direct oversight of security guard operations, access control procedures, alarm and CCTV systems, ID systems for employees/vendors/visitors, headquarters emergency response planning, and executive protection;
  • Maintain consistent communications and flow of information with all security stakeholders in Latin America and Colgate’s Piscataway, NJ location;
  • Develop strategies to counter risks and gain agreement and support from appropriate management;
  • Identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices, and policies throughout the area of responsibility to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of assets, physical, personal and reputation risk;
  • Incorporate approved security guidelines into projects to include construction, renovation and production related projects;
  • Direct the policy and procedure related to the management of identifying, assessing and addressing all potential loss exposures due to theft, vandalism, sabotage, or other identified unauthorized or illegal activities within Latin America;
  • Provides direct support, for investigations and surveys, for all Latin America facilities. This also includes electronic-countermeasures, event security, and special projects;
  • Act as an investigative liaison and as a criminal investigation expert to Ethics and Compliance and Brand Protection. Provide advice and leadership on cases of mutual interest;
  • Oversee processing and chain of custody for suspect product/potential product tampering;
  • Ensure conformity of current and planned security operations with approved security standards;
  • Provide technical support coordination, in conjunction with GS Technical Security Specialist, to the Latin America management teams and relevant company departments for the selection of security service providers and execution of security related contracts;
  • Incorporate lessons learned from previous crises into security and evacuation plans;
  • Establish relationships with regional peers and leaders across the consumer products industry. Benchmark with partners and peers in the industry and share best practices;
  • Maintain strong communication and support links with the Overseas Security Advisory Council and local law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory agencies across Latin America.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of 7-10 years of supervisory/management experience in the security/intelligence field;
  • Board Certification in Security Management (CPP) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred;
  • Experience in law enforcement is highly preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent spoken and written English and Spanish skills are preferred;
  • Strong cultural awareness required; prior work experience in a multinational workplace preferred;
  • Working knowledge of established corporate security practices and delivery of services within a business environment preferred;
  • Selected candidate will have comprehensive experience with design and implementation of physical security programs and associated equipment/hardware to include: access control systems, CCTV systems, alarm systems, communications systems, fire alarm systems, and uniform guard service operations and management;
  • Security risk management and threat analysis skills are required as is and demonstrated skill in writing and review of security procedures and plans;
  • Understanding of emergency management and life safety policy is required with a strong understanding of business risk analysis and prioritizing according to business needs;
  • Experience in Crisis Management planning and training is preferred with experience in performing investigations, both civil and criminal, in a corporate environment;
  • Selected candidate must have an ability to problem-solve in real-time and coordinate preparedness plans in crisis situations for the facility / division (when required);
  • Strong computer skills with competence in Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferred;
  • In-depth experience in Supply Chain security is preferred.





Salary Range:  $120,720 - $158,445 USD

Pay is based on several non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location.  In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
