Plant Procurement Associate Manager/Specialist
 
The Plant Procurement Manager is responsible for coordinating with the End to End team to define and execute procurement strategies and plans for the North American Division.  You  will be the primary Procurement contact for the End to End team, as well as the Director of Manufacturing. 


The Plant Procurement Associate Manager/Specialist at Tom’s of Maine/Flavors - Burlington is responsible for ensuring the supply and quality of all direct materials used in the plants assigned to the category and the cost & risk of the groups of materials assigned. They will coordinate and own the assessment & resolution of all purchasing-related issues for the materials/suppliers associated with the plants, and will connect with the Director of Manufacturing and End to End as appropriate to capture the accurate required support.


They will ensure coordination and timely execution for price finalization, price forecast management & risk mitigation plans of the materials assigned to their team, Savings Projects (FTG) execution and reporting, call out as necessary implications related to the introduction of new materials/suppliers to Manufacturing, coordinate implementation of supply chain & supplier management tools (Vendor Scorecard, Inventory,). They will also be responsible to ensure process/tool harmonization, simplification among the assigned plants and, where possible, supporting potential automation solutions which could expedite procurement tasks.
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Manages the people, materials, and purchasing processes to deliver performance objectives, as measured by corporate, division and local critical metrics.
  • Facilitate the relationship between supplier & plant functions (mainly planning and quality) supporting resolution of customer service/quality issues
  • Function as Procurement contact for the plant DOMs & lead/sponsor/ensure process & tool harmonization among the assigned plants
  • Collaborates with Category Manufacturing Services to develop risk management strategies for key materials.
  • Anticipate and escalate issues, and facilitate their resolution, related to new materials/supplier introduction
  • Ensure implementation of assigned cross-plant material portfolio initiatives
  • Ensure achievement of  the Purchasing Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics) and working with the entire Procurement & E2E teams to ensure proper critical metrics levels (FTG, Spend track, Vendor Scorecard, Risk Mgmt, Legal coverage, PPV, etc…)
  • Ensures timely delivery of new products & packages as per Division grids.
  • Ensure implementation of Key Initiatives with suppliers (i.e., Enhanced Supplier Program, Continuous Improvement Teams, Contract Coverage, etc.).
  • Responsible for Divisional FTG.
  • Leads Division efforts in using “e-tools” (Auctions, Spend Analyzer, etc.) to help drive Funding the Growth, simplification, and standardization programs.
  • Leads the implementation of Supplier Managed Inventory with appropriate suppliers.
  • Provides functional resources, including support on task forces, acquisition studies, and major project support.
  • Ensures the development of the documented understanding of Division market structure and drivers for materials and identifies opportunities and threats for the future.
  • Identifies and resolves all material Customer Service and Quality issues in the Division.
  • Responsible for budget preparation and completion.

 
 
Required Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • At least 7 years of Supply Chain / Procurement experience 

 
Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Master's degree.
  • Previous SAP experience.
  • Previous plant experience.

 

Salary Range $77,120- $126,840 USD

 

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
