Colgate Palmolive Global Security Organization is seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Systems Manager to own and lead the Physical security technology portfolio. The right candidate should be a strategic thinker with an operational mindset, and be highly self-motivated, able to proactively identify and solve  problems, and promote continuous development to protect against evolving threat landscape.

This position is based out of the Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 

What you'll do

The Physical Security Systems Manager is critical for leading and maintaining the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of enterprise level systems.

  •  Ownership: Assumes full ownership of the Physical Security Technology Portfolio's operations and  strategic direction. They define the roadmap, establish technical policy, and hold direct operational authority over the Specialist and third-party contractors. 

  • Strategic Direction: Drives the future-state architecture, evaluates emerging technologies, and aligns the global portfolio with broader corporate and InfoSec requirements.

  •  High-Level Governance: Serves as the primary technical liaison to cross-functional enterprise teams like Global Information Technology (GIT) and Global Engineering.

  • Lifecycle & Vendor Management: Acts as the primary escalation point for system vendors regarding R&D integrations, complex connectivity issues, and critical global system upgrades.

  • Team Governance: Directs the workload and sets priorities for the Security Technology Specialist and two third-party contractors.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the administration  of  physical security enterprise level global security technology programs with at least five years of strategic planning and leading enterprise-level infrastructure across distributed regions.
  • Team Leadership: Proven record of leading and managing internal security teams, field technicians, and third-party systems integrators/vendors.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Deep knowledge of unified Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) platforms, cloud-hybrid deployment models, and SaaS/Premises physical security hardware.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Budgeting & SLA Management: Experience managing multi-million-dollar CAPEX/OPEX budgets, drafting RFPs, negotiating vendor SLAs, and maintaining maintenance contracts.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Frameworks: Working knowledge of regional compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, CMMC, NERC-CIP, HIPAA, GDPR, or OSHA requirements).
  • Integrations & APIs: Hands-on experience integrating physical security systems with enterprise platforms (Active Directory, HR Information Systems, and building Management Systems)
  • Network & Cybersecurity Protocols: Strong grounding in TCP/IP, VLAN segmentation, TLS/SSL encryption, PKI certificates, and cyber-hardening of edge devices (cameras, door controllers, IoT).
  • Communications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional) 
  • PSP (Physical Security Professional) – ASIS International
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) – ISC2 (Highly valued for enterprise cyber-physical integration)


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
