The North America Manufacturing Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of Colgate's manufacturing operational excellence program in the North America plants in order to streamline processes, optimize value and reduce costs.
 

The candidate can be located in New Jersey, Tennessee or South Carolina.


He/she will work very closely with Manufacturing Operational Excellence Leads on the sites, building regional networks, sharing best practices within the country and the different regions. He or she will also build the assessment/audits schedules and make sure findings are addressed in a timely manner. The North America Manufacturing Operational Excellence Manager will develop and support the program leads on the sites ensuring they have the capabilities and the tools needed to execute the standards.
 
He or she will be a critical member of the North America leadership team communicating the progress and results on key regional initiatives. 
 
The role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills across categories, regions and sites. 
 
Specific Responsibilities:
The North America Manufacturing Operational Excellence Manager will:

  • Lead the Manufacturing excellence program at a regional level which includes 5 manufacturing sites in North America
  • Serve as regional subject matter expert and provide guidance in the manufacturing standards, tools & systems (Management Systems, 5S, Visual Workplace, Planned Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, Productivity & Continuous Improvement, Production Planning, People Capability, Engineering documentation)
  • Partner with the sites leads to drive Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving initiatives and facilitates a wide range of lean tools, including 5S, time study, and Kaizen event into the sites
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer, train and coach in the use of Continuous Improvement tools to drive improvements
  • Provides business analysis, change management and project management in support of corporate initiatives
  • Develop regional OPEX program training calendar 
  • Lead and facilitate regular network meetings to understand and provide support to close gaps
  • Conduct hands-on site support visits to assist the excellence program implementation
  • Participate in global assessments and site self-assessment 
  • Provide updates to NA Leadership team on the progress and results of the program

 
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or any related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain
  • Proven experience implementing manufacturing operational excellence programs

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Certified
  • MBA
  • Experience as Operations Manager
  • Project Management experience

Salary Range $107,760 - $158,445 USD

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
