As Global Transportation Manager you will develop global transportation strategies, collaborate with procurement in negotiating contracts with carriers and logistics providers, lead transportation projects and ensure adherence to international trade regulations. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the movement of goods across Colgate’s international supply chains, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant transportation operations for all goods via ocean/road/rail/air to support business objectives. This role works closely with internal teams—such as supply chain, procurement, and customer service—as well as external partners to drive savings via continuous improvement initiatives, reduce transit times, and manage transportation risks for FG/RM and PM. This role requires strong analytical skills, global logistics expertise, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment and serves as a Transportation Center of Excellence.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements global transportation strategies to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across international markets
  • Manages relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs, executing transportation bids, partnering with IP/Legal on contracts ( FG and RM/PM) , rates, and service level agreements to optimize performance and cost. Ensuring always compliance with international trade regulations, including customs, import/export laws, and transportation security requirements
  • Monitors and analyzes transportation performance metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in service levels, transit times, and cost efficiency, leveraging technology, advanced analytics, and best practices to deliver global Funding the Growth goals
  • Manage transportation budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate cost tracking and financial performance
  • Benchmarks multi-modal transportation operations (air, ocean, road, rail) and coordinates across regions to scale best practices to streamline end-to-end logistics
  • Leads global transportation projects such as digitalization, tracking , network/load optimization, transport mode, and supplier collaboration
  • Collaborates with supply chain, procurement and customer service teams to align transportation plans with business goals and customer expectations
  • Mitigates risks in the global transportation network, including disruptions due to weather, geopolitical events, or supplier issues

 

Required  Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 8+ years of Logistics / Transportation & Warehousing Management
  • Experience with Google Sheets/Doc/Slides or Excel
  • Familiarity with WMS, TMS, yard management, procurement tools, global track and trace tools,  optimization modeling software

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $120,000.00 - $168,500.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
