As our Procurement Manager for Raw Materials, you will sit at the absolute heart of our global supply chain strategy. You are not just buying ingredients, you are shaping market resilience, driving sustainable sourcing transformations, and safeguarding the raw materials that fuel our world renowned personal, home, and oral care brands.

 

In this high visibility leadership role, you will architect long term material strategies, command complex global supplier ecosystems, lead high level negotiations and saving initiatives, and champion continuous improvement programs that directly impact our top line growth and sustainability commitments.

 

Your Day to Day and The Future

 

  • Architect Material Strategies: Build forward looking raw material strategies that balance market dynamics, holistic risk management, capacity planning, segmentation, and global cost efficiencies.

  • Master Supplier Alliances: Cultivate world class strategic relationships and alliances with raw material suppliers, ensuring their capabilities evolve in total alignment with Colgate business unit growth targets.

  • Lead Enterprise Negotiations: Negotiate key raw material contracts and develop advanced cost models in direct partnership with our global legal and finance teams.

  • Escalate and Mitigate Operational Risk: Act as the primary executive escalation partner for the Procurement Operational team, proactively neutralizing supply chain bottlenecks, quality issues, and service interruptions before they hit the manufacturing floor.

  • Champion Sustainable Sourcing: Drive the execution of our corporate sustainability roadmap, supplier diversity targets, and responsible sourcing initiatives, including raw material planning for external contract manufacturing partners.

  • Fuel Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction programs with key strategic suppliers and stakeholders, directly delivering value through funding the growth initiatives.

  • Deliver Masterclass Governance: Own divisional commodity market forecasting, budget preparation, and holistic supplier risk assessments to safeguard the business against global market volatility.

 

You'll need to have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related business/technical field

  • 8+ years of procurement experience in raw materials or supplies

  • Experience in running Requests for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) with strong data analysis skills

  • Solid understanding of SAP and Google Workspace

 

Even better if you have:

  • Master of Business Administration or professional certification such as Certified Purchasing Manager, Certified in Planning and Inventory Management, or Project Management Professional

  • Experience working directly within production plant operations

  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with a focus on delivering practical and sustainable solutions

  • Effective verbal & written communication skills

  • Ability to engage at senior leadership levels internally and externally


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $134,000.00 - $170,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
