The Senior Logistics Analyst is responsible for providing business and advanced analytical support to the Global Transportation and Warehousing functions. The position is accountable for Logistics Sustainability Plan & reporting and logistics risk management systems. The position is also responsible for developing and maintaining logistics KPIs, recommending and implementing operational improvements, processes and software. This position also oversees automation initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency. Uses network optimization and modeling tools to identify logistics cost and service improvement opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Global Ocean Transportation routing guide. Engages Global Forwarders to ensure rate and data accuracy. Develops and maintains Global Ocean Transportation KPIs internally, and facilitates projects with forwarders to make sure their reporting is up to par.
  • Assists Global Transportation Manager in resolving service issues. Hosts monthly KPI reviews with subsidiaries to drive solutions to problem areas identified.
  • Manages Global Community of Practice. Coordinates with Global Logistics team to gather best practices, develop presentations, schedule, facilitate and record quarterly community of practice meetings. Maintains active online community, keeping an expansive source for relevant information.
  • Is accountable for supporting the Global Transportation Manager on global network cost and service optimization initiatives.
  • Identifies opportunities and leads continuous improvement initiatives for warehousing and transportation. Leads software pilots and automation projects aimed at increased efficiency and/or reduced cost
  • Participates in Global Ocean and Domestic Transportation bids, provides analytical and implementation support.
  • Is responsible for Global Logistics Sustainability Program; collaborates with EOHS, external consultants and business owners on the analytical and reporting processes. Validates all global reports.
  • Provides analytical support to the Global Excellence Manager. Participates in Global studies and provides analytical support on cost and efficiency initiatives.
  • Lead Global Logistics FTG studies and projects. Lead quarterly FTG calls and provides Divisional support as required.
  • Is subject matter expert for excel, tableau and other analytical tools, performing and improving ad-hoc reporting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Business Administration or related field
  • At least 4 years Supply Chain positions
  • Knowledge of logistics systems, SAP experience
  • Effective Communication at all levels
  • Global Teamwork
  • Optimizes cost, service and speed-to-market through collaborative planning and communication with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrates the ability to make the right tradeoffs between achieving short-term objectives and long-term goals. Understands business objectives

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in data analytics

Salary Range $88,800 - $131,250USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
