Colgate-Palmolive invites applications for the position of Information Technology (IT) Intern for the Global Information Technology (GIT) organization. This is a paid internship with an opportunity to extend and is located in Piscataway, NJ. The candidate will join the Workplace Collaboration Services’s Standards and Compliance team to create and automate reporting for compliance standards. The Standards and Compliance team is responsible for ensuring all global Workplace Services teams meet industry standards and internal policies for compliance. This position involves working with global team GIT staff to automate, simplify, and organize compliance checks. 


Responsibilities include: 

  • Support Standards and Compliance team on projects to improve compliance tracking

  • Grasp technical concepts quickly and apply takeaways based on Global GIT standards

  • Translate & simplify technical information into a form or questionnaire

  • Document and share solutions to global teams and senior management

  • Follow through on project tasks, prioritization, and resolution of problems

  • Research new technology and make recommendations to enhance Colgate IT standards

  • Utilize new technology and skills to achieve faster and better results for our team

  • Maintain and expand current technical expertise including new industry trends, Colgate strategic partnerships, and self-study

  • Build dashboards for reporting metrics and key performance indicators to be used by senior leaders and regional teams


This position requires the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree program with a graduation date of December 2021 or later

  • A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, not requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • Availability to work up to 40 hours per week (minimum of 15-20 hours during school semesters)

  • A basic understanding of PCs, networks, and mobile devices

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

  • Experience with GSuite including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms

  • Familiarity & past experience with AODocs, Google Apps Script. Java is a plus
