The HR Business Partner will work with Global Research & Development business leaders on strategic and local business and human resource priorities including talent management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness (performance, organization design & capabilities, and change management). This position will stay up-to-date on the pulse of the organization and external market and human resource trends. This position will also work closely with the Global R&D HR team and local HR teams outside the US to ensure consistency of global processes such as Calibration, Talent Planning, Performance Management & Development, etc., and will consolidate and analyze global information where needed.
General Responsibilities
- Collaborate as a member of the Global R&D Business HR Team
- Identify and implement forward-thinking HR solutions based on an understanding of relevant business operations and strategies aligned with the Human Capital Strategy
- Partner with HR in the Center of HR Excellence (COHREs) and Colgate Business Services (CBS) to influence and execute HR strategy, policies, and programs
- Promote adoption and continuous improvement of the HR Partnership Model in the business and facilitate collaboration among Business HR, CBS HR, CoHREs
HR Partnering
- Understand external market factors to develop insights and to inform Business HR leader, CoHREs and business decisions
- Use people analytics tools to inform solutions development (e.g. career planning, targeted compensation, incentives, retention, etc.) through anticipation and understanding of issues and trends on future labor, organi,zation and business needs
- Provide leadership and guidance to business leaders related to the implementation and management of the HR strategy in the Global R&D organization
- Provide insights to the CoHREs for the design, execution and continuous improvement of HR programs to ensure relevance to current and future business needs
Talent Management
- Advise and coach business leaders on topics impacting leadership effectiveness and business results
- Understand and apply, as appropriate, the company’s philosophy, principles, and programs (including, e.g., total rewards, learning, people develop,ment and mobility/immigration)
- Co-own all talent management programs together with business leaders
- Partner with the Total Rewards CoHRE to: Identify, in partnership with business leaders, compensation actions for key talent
Organization Effectiveness (Organization Performance, Design, Capabilities and Change Management)
- Collaborate with business leaders on organization design, including structure, processes, capabilities, and resource requirements, and identify gaps and opportunities; action planning to support the implementation of organization design;employee engagement initiatives;
- Facilitate and support change management tailored to specific needs
Positive Employee Relations
- Serve as an employee advocate by establishing workforce relationships
- Manage the internal grievance process
- Partner with the People Relations CoHRE and Legal to develop responses to external complaints
- Champion the company’s Ethical Leadership standards, behaviors and compliance
- Partner with the Diversity and Inclusion team to implement relevant local initiatives
- Monitor HR compliance on-site, including 3rd party contractors

Education/ Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline; Master's degree is a plus
- At least 7 years of progressive HR experience; Experience in manufacturing and/or consumer products industry preferred
- Ability to use business tools to analyze and prepare data
- Experience in:
- Providing HR strategic advice to HR partners and senior business leaders
- Development and implementation of HR initiatives
- Coaching and guiding members of the HR and the business colleagues
- One or more HR Specialty Area (Compensation, Benefits, People Relations, People Development, Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, Analytics, Organization Development/Design)
- SAP HR and/or Success Factors / Employee Central is preferred

Salary Range $107,760 - $158,545 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
