This team comprises a variety of global roles and focus areas, including operations, engineering, process development and innovation, procurement, network operations, project management, factory performance & reliability, packaging, continuous improvement, and supply chain management.

 

The Global Supply Services Category Manager on our Global Procurement team will develop best in class global strategic sourcing plans, lead strategic contract negotiations and handle key internal and external partnerships to support the Global Supply Services Categories. This includes Capital, Facilities Services, Real Estate and MRO and construction. This role mainly interacts with senior business leaders (VP & Director Level) in Corporate, Division level procurement managers as well as external executive-level supplier leaders. This role directly manages ~$150MM in spend and influences supply procurement strategies for ~$900MM in spend across all divisions.

Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Support multi year category strategy and execution plan, including all aspects of total value, innovation, sustainability, resilience, cost optimization, automation and speed.
  • Define total value metrics and tracking methodology for key supplier relationships.
  • Develop cost models and drive fact based cost forecasts and budget guidance for handled spend.
  • Update annual Category/Supplier Segmentation for Capital, Facilities Services, Real Estate, construction and MRO, and develop supplier engagement models accordingly
  • Negotiate strategic supplier contracts and support and supervise key global Savings and Growth initiatives.
  • Achieve or exceed the annual savings goals.
  • Support supply network review and optimization.
  • Lead Global Supplier Relationship Management for global Supply services suppliers.
  • Support Supply Value Projects with key collaborators including global engineering and Division Supply VPs.
  • Support Divisional Supply Services teams, elevating any challenges with global suppliers.
  • Identify and assess category risks, develop/execute risk mitigation plans.

Relationships and Engagement:

  • Lead the Global Services Procurement Supply network to implement category governance, strategic supplier relations and facilitate sharing of Best Practices.
  • Develop and implement positive relationships with category partners to elevate the procurement role on delivering against business priorities.
  • Engage senior leaders to escalate issues and drive opportunities in internal and external partnering.
  • Manage ethical and professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Elevate partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation, resilience, total value via customer of choice approach.
  • Lead Strategic supplier Top to top engagements and drive the Supplier Relationship Management program with identified supplier partners

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive innovation, automation and efficiency across led spend.
  • Develop and implement any related process improvement in the category.
  • Contribute to the company’s renewable energy and sustainability initiatives and goals.
  • Drive relevant process transformational/reimagined initiatives across the supply services procurement category
  • Keep track of the external market, participate in Industry events, engage in benchmarking exercises, and bring category trends, innovation and growth opportunities to the collaborators and procurement teams.
  • Participate in regional Innovation Initiatives.

Digital, Data and Analytics

  • Perform thorough spend analysis, and apply spend analytics best practices for the categories under responsibility.
  • Develop cost models and drive fact based cost forecasts and budget guidance for managed spend.
  • Be a data champion and apply analytics to drive strategy and decision making
  • Actively support the Global Procurement Digital Transformation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • At least 8 years of Manufacturing/Engineering/Supply Procurement experience.
  • Previous experience managing supplier relationships, executing and managing supplier programs and negotiating contracts with one or more of the following:
  • Facilities management or integrated facilities management (IFM) suppliers.
  • Capital equipment (CEB) or Original Equipment manufacturers (OEM) and plant automation suppliers.
  • Plant construction projects.
  • Leasing contracts of machinery, equipment (e.g. fork lifts) or real estate/land.
