Colgate Palmolive Company is seeking a Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our rapidly growing Global Device Research team to develop novel product solutions for oral care and personal care devices from initial concept through transfer to mass manufacturing. The incumbent will partner with a cross functional team of internal and external subject area experts in Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacture Engineering, Software Engineering, Packaging Engineering. 


● Define product requirements and create multiple initial concepts, based on early research scientific and/or engineering studies to address identified consumer needs and insights. 
● Determine Select technology architecture and bring in external new technologies & practices, execute the device development process by designing, prototyping, validating and optimizing devices. 
● Partiner with the cross functional team, generate all required product documentation including Detail Product specifications, Key Product Performance Requirements, Supporting Test Plans and Test Reports. Documentation will be used to support safety and regulatory processes, and transfer products through a stage gate process into manufacturing. 
● Present to management, marketing teams and R&D peers on various subjects, including, scientific principles, engineering concept diagrams and computer generated renderings, rapid prototypes and demonstrations, experimental data and test results, etc. 
● Generate and document intellectual property through creation of invention records and supporting patent applications. 


● BS/BA degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 
● Minimum of 4 years of experience in the development of consumer and/or medical / diagnostics device 
● Experience with Solidworks CAD, Rapid prototyping, GD&T, Material selection & Biocompatibility, Design for Manufacturability, Molding 
● Experience working with Industrial designers and marketing professionals 
● Sound fundamental knowledge of digital & analog circuits and signal processing 
● Skills in prototype performances evaluation, analysis of data and results, writing technical documentations 
● Experience in using electronic test equipment for development and test of electronics 
● Skills in schematic design & PCB layout using EDA, component selection, prototype building (bread boarding and soldering) and debugging is preferred 
● Abilities to implement Wifi and Bluetooth/BLE communication protocols us preferred 
● Ability to communicate in English, including writing technical documentation
