The Data Engineering and Visualization team is looking for a Data Visualization Engineer with strong technical skills and business acumen to work with stakeholders across the organization to solve strategic problems that influence the company’s growth. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with our business partners to build visualizations that align with our strategic directives and teach/inspire our partners to utilize visualization tools independently.  Your work will have a direct and measurable impact on issues that affect many aspects of company success (revenue growth management, digital transformation, environmental sustainability, etc.) 

 

Specific position responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following areas: 

 

  • Translate data analysis requests into solutions using a variety of data analysis/visualization tools;

  • Understand complex business processes and translate them into requirements for visualizations;

  • Influence the use of new visualization tools adopted by the company;

  • Democratize data and insights through skillful data structuring and use of visualization tools

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.  Master's degree preferred;

  • Minimum of 4 years in Data Visualization development;

  • Experience with data visualization tools (such as Domo, Google Data Studio, Tableau, or similar); 

  • Experience writing complex SQL queries to pull data into visualization tools;

  • Hands-on experience in extracting data from various data sources and building complex data models (Star Schema/Snowflake)

  • Strong technical/business acumen to uncover and effectively present insights that inform strategic decisions;

  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines;

  • The ability to tell a compelling story with data;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;

  • Consistent attention to detail;

  • Track record of working independently and solving problems creatively, with a sense of accountability
